Can anyone tell how to get the facelift headlamps in my pre facelift 323i? which wires go where? Can it even be done?

As the title says. I Have tried two alternaters off a 318 and a 320 but the plugs at the back are different...

My e30 wont hold charge in its battery. Ive tried 3 diffrent batterys and they all go flat after about a week. I replaced the brushes on my altenater and it has been fine for about two weeks up untill yesterday. I gave it a bump start today and took it for a good 20 minute drive. I then came home and turned it of and started it up agin and it turned over 1st pop, I then came bak 30 minutes later and it had nothing. Does it sound like a crook altenater or something else?

Both of mine have been a pain in the ass to bleed!

Have it so the pipes run into an air tite container, I used a glass jar and just drilled two holes in the lid. Have it so the pipe off the slave is in the bottom and the vacuum pipe near the top. It needs to be air tite though.

Ive got the same problem with my e30. I just mabe a vacuum that went off the engine and hooked it up to the slave cylinder.

Cheers everyone. I got one from supercheap for $60 so ill stick it in tomorow and see if it fixes my problem. I got a new slave cylinder too

Is there anywhere that sells a kit to rebuild, or is it better and cheaper to buy a new one? does anyone know how much a new one is?

I decided to replace my brake and clutch fluid today on my e30. I did the brakes ok and then did the clutch but i cant get any pedal at all. I tried with my dad to bleed it normaly but couldnt get any pedal... I then tried my pressure bleeder and that didnt work. The fluid just goes straight through the system. What am i doing wrong? Has this happened to anyone before?

I just replaced my Control Arm bushes today and used one on those super cheap press's and it worked perfectly. I had to use a bit of heat to get the old bushes out though. Its far less stressfull and cheaper in the long run just to buy a press.

You should be able to move the fan from side to side if the bearings in the pump are shot.

Are you sure this has a getrag 240 gearbox? I have a 323i and it has a 260...

My cars a Uk import and it has a fair amount of rust. Its mainly just little bubbly bits but theres a hole in the floor about 100mm in diameter lol

Why dont u put in an M50? They put out decent power and wiegh alot less than an M30. Or you could just put an m20 in it and stay in the E30 class... -
How do you do burnouts and driftys in a 318?
