Lol, I know what you mean, Been on the forum for a long time and it's managed to get me to look at a BMW everytime just about before buying a car these days. So who knows maybe one day I'll actually by a BMW.
-
this might help you http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/diyma-...-install-4.html Shows you how to install speakers in the front of your car.
-
ok in this instance I'll offer some advice too. With your limited Budget, I would do the following. Get the Fusion amp, But honestly I would troll trademe and pick an Fusion FP1404 (can be had between $150 - $200). Very solid strong amp. Also Around 150wrms x 4. I'm not one for 6x9's what so ever. However I know the limitations you guys have in your BMW's. You will struggle to get the 6x9's in the back it would imply not be worth it. with your requirements you could get away spending around $250 - $400 on your components. for the front. To make things easy for you stay with 6" components. Or if you are willing to struggle or pay for installation install upgrade the speaker wiring at the same time. No too Deep of a Component as it just bolts to the Door skim. Preferably You may want to make a hole in the door for the Speaker to vent to? Then Installing a sub or two. Remove rear speakers so the sub can vent into the cabin. But As Rogan suggested that is another way. Dave (Aka DeeCee) does know his way around those cars. So he could recommend or possibly supply/install all the gear for you too.

man cant believe you are willing to sell the car. after building it in the first place. GLWS. Very nice example of a non gen Mtech2 car.
-
yeah duke Nukem and One Must fall, Mortal combat, No to forget Green Barea. and a few others but cannot remember there names, but do have the emulators with them on.
-
over all I enjoyed it it was my first time, Yeah do know what you guys mean about it being a bit scripted. But the funniest parts of the day had to be, the 80+ year old lady driving a 1806 Blue racing car. Which was awesome. a whole 14,250cc $ cylinder engine. then One of the red bull Holden Utes popped in engine, did his bit, drove off got to the Reb Bull Holden Stand, And next thing you know a POP sound and all this smoke belowwing out from under the hood. Oops comes to mind here.

lol, i know what you mean, I'll upgrade the girlfriends GTI basically what you have there, To larger turbo etc, in about 8 - 12 months. Currently her GTI is making 130kw @ the front wheels and peaks boost at 21.6psi. Has been for the past 100000km's or around 4ish years.

Something else to note is the Revo chip can also be the culprit. They do, do very good maps. With chip tuning you will get what you are after. But personally I would not run a Chiptuning chip again. Superchip operates much the same as you are refering to currently. You can get your Skoda Dyno tuned at Torque Performance. Ask them to tune it as much as possible as you want. They do an extremely good job, plus giving you before and after of the session and explaining what you can do to improve too. Otherwise you can do the following. you can do a quickish upgrade with a remap which will net you around 240 - 250HP. This is what you need to do. Upgrading to a K04. You will require new turbo oil feed lines and exhaust manifold. and a remap. Would also suggest getting a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator. And new DP. this will take you to around 6300rpm. This will give you around 280 - 330hp. Or you can go for the GT28 eliminator kit that has all the above mentioned. Even with 8psi boost full boost is at 2700 only 400rpm longer than now. In addition will only be running out of puff around the 6500ish rpm range. I know of guys running GT2871r on their 1.8T only changed Rods. But on 8psi boost had full boost around the 2600rpm, and kept pulling around the 7000rpm. But no driveability has been lost either. They now run around 13psi boost full tilt around the 2750rpm and keeps pulling, Only stops at 7500rpm as that is where they have their rev limit set currently. In all accounts doing the upgrade for Audi A4 is a little easier than the Skoda/golf. But pricing is much the same for all three. The only thing which will hurt you is the money and retune. But installation will be pretty easy, You would be able to do the whole lot in a weekend, Providing you dont break any nuts or bolts. If you have done this before you would be able to get the car fully running again in 1 day. But again this is Digressing from this guys MTM A4 post. Sorry mods.

Not on the 300 - 400hp range. Providing you have the correct turbo. But the 600hp can have lag up to around 3500rpm.
-
these golf and Audi 1.8t engine have no issues in regards to power. Out of the box the standard motor can handle 300hp, providing its the big port motor, Small port motor can handle around 270hp. Only mod required is Rod upgrade. Then you can go up to around 450hp. But then it's already more then enough power surely? But there are guys running these around the 600 - 800hp range. Pretty damn fast.

lol, each to your own, I have owned everything from First Gen vw golf/jetta thru to a mk5 golf. mk3 by far is the nicest all rounder. Mk2 the most fun to play with on road. mk1 best to play with on road but more so on track. Mk4 great car, does nothing special really, but funnily enough it does what it does extremely well. Mk5 still newish, just a get in and drive kind of car, GTI is the only one really worth playing. Even the R32 is boring. Mk4 R32 far better car than new mk5 R32. By miles.

Those are pretty damn reliable cars, Only three problems they ever have on those. Are coil. ECU wiring harness plug in the engine bay. and Window regulators if it has electrics. But that has been done nicely. I would however add a VR6 front valance instead.
