  1. Same goes for you...but let's keep this on topic
  2. Guess you moved because of the renovation at MDR building?
  3. Cheers John. I had another look last night, and spoken to Glenn and a few others...and maybe the brake pedal isn't adjusted correctly. I will have a crack at rebleeding tonight. After the rebleed i'll see how it goes and take it from there.
  4. Happy Birthday Atta...i'll say the obligatory message "Do a skid!"
  5. Brent - I will try a rebleed tomorrow or during the week, see if that helps...it's just VERY odd that it's so close to the floor? I havn't driven it yet as the clutch is so close to the floor I wouldn't be able to get it into gear Tastic - It does have an eccentric bolt, and i've tried that...it's still very close to the floor unfortunately What is everybody's method to bleeding a clutch? Maybe i'm doing it wrong/differently?

    My 1971 2002 Build

Wahooo!! Awesome Can't wait to see these vids
  7. Ok, as I should have expected there are issues.... Righto. 1) had a no start issue, that has been resolved. Spoke to Brent who said look into the alarm I have...and what do you know, it looks as though the alarm was immobilising the ignition and wasn't turning off when the alarm was de-activated. 2) The clutch pedal isn't coming out very far from the floor when pulled as far as it can be outward. The travel appears to be restricted by the master cylinder or the pedal is slightly different. See pictures
  8. +1 for another 2 weeks, then team leader at VisionStream (service company working for Chorus)

    SIR E30

Does anyone have Jason (SIR E30)'s number? Could they please call/text him and ask him to check his PM's on Bimmersport or get him to call/text me on 021 02516702 cheers
  10. Can't wait to finish work already so I can crack into it!!!.....argh 1hr 17min to go...................................
  11. Lol! They look alright. If I had an e30 I'd probably use them...
  12. Updates! Driveshaft in (152mm is a perfect fit...measure twice cut once!). Rear all back together. Steering all back together (passenger side swaybar mount has been removed and the bolts snapped when tightening (i'm an idiot and got excited....we won't get into that). Tomorrow it SHOULD just be a matter of adding the fluids, double checking everything is torqued up correctly, installing front swaybar, installing steering column, bleeding brakes and clutch and away I go... Will update tomorrow (or Saturday )
  13. APT - that was my mate. He has now fitted these headers to his own car.
  14. Tastic - I'll sort out a costed list once i've completed the conversion...the amount of receipts for this car is now too large for the folder I have!! haha. Glenn - Hell yeah . I'll pop round tomorrow morning to drop off your stuff if you're free? THANKS AGAIN!
  15. Sorry, that was aimed at Ben-E30. Good luck with your project!
  16. Looking awesome man. Will be watching this thread!
  17. Congrats! Once you get it back a good clean and some photos are in order! Welcome to the 540i club
  18. I also forgot to mention tomorrow night I need to sort out the reverse light switch and park inhibitor preventing it to start.
  19. Awesome stuff! Excellent display of BS camaraderie
  20. Haha, awesome! I think that we can both attest to Glenn being a GC and always willing to help where possible. We had 3 people under the car. 2 at the front trying to line her up and a third at the back maneuvering with the jack/output shaft to get her in...definitely not a light thing to move around without a transmission jack/hoist. Mark - that's awesome to hear others are as excited as I am . Maybe not the first full noise shift into third, but they will come.
  21. She's in!!! Should hopefully be smooth sailing from here! Use of engine brace (thanks a lot Glenn!!!) to stop exhaust manifold from resting on chassis rails (engine mounts buggered and are going to be the next item replaced...) Box in place...was a pretty smooth installation, apart from us forgetting to check the amount of dowels in the box/engine. One extra was in the box and must've come out of the guy in the states engine who I bought the box from................ Stock shifter in place while I wait for the z3 short shift to arrive Fuel injectors back from the shop. An expensive affair, but the guy said 2 of them were pretty clogged up and not sealing properly?? so definitely worth the coin. Replaced fuel filters as well. Basically the whole engine side of things is complete, below is a picture of it all together Not long now Gents! Should be running tomorrow and rolling friday/saturday. Need to install driveshaft, halfshafts, install steering column, install all new steering/swaybar linkages, bleed brakes, add coolant and engine oil...install exhaust, get alignment...whew! Cheers
  22. Nice! Good luck (assuming you're name is Robert)!! As Simon says (no joke implied ), if you're not keen on the T-Stars we can talk...but he has first dibs
  23. Yeah, just pulling your leg mate I would go for it if it's as good as others are saying. The genuine rims alone are worth somewhere in the region of 1k-1.5k in my opinion.
  24. Nice placing/vids! Love this little car. Was looking at getting one before I bought the 540i How do you find out about these events? Do you require a MSNZ licence or cage etc? Or can anyone show up provided they have helmet/overalls/fire extinguisher? Cheers
