  1. Nice Richard. What clutch and flywheel did you opt for?
  2. Good stuff Mike, looks amazing. I wish I had your patience!
  3. FOR SALE - E34 540i front and rear brakes. Recommend disc's are replaced as they're not in good shape. Pads are TRW with lots of meat left. Located Manurewa, Auckland. $400
  4. Nice mate, just saw the vid above... can't believe I missed it! What rear system are you running from the headers?
  5. I need to pull finger and get around to grinding my bellhousing. Have test fitted both sides loosely and they'll come together nicely I think. Maybe tomorrow's job??? Once test fitted and good to go, I'll replace some of the studs with bolts and get the headers to HPC for coating.
  6. RE: the motor handling HP and internals, I'm at about 500hp motor right now with a rebuild using OEM parts. Nothing special.
  7. Ah bugger, thought it was a runner haha
  8. Videos are a must. I'm expecting a post tomorrow/Sunday on this, no exceptions Richard!
  9. Those exhaust manifolds look great!
  10. Great work Richard!
  11. Nice Richard. The dyno graph photos don't appear to have uploaded?
  12. Very nice Vincent! A true enthusiast, great work and I hope the Alpina steering wheel is doing you well!
  13. Cool, Gavin's a good dude and super helpful! I was running a JB Racing Flywheel and stock sachs pressure and unsprung friction plate which was fine. Upon going to supercharger figured it was best to uprate and I regret listening to the guy at Autoclutch when they were still around. He modified my 265mm JBR FW to fit an e36 friction plate (240mm I think?) with custom spline and associated release bearing, drilling new dowels into the FW and now everything is custom, uprating the spring force on the pressure plate. The release bearing he gave me didn't fit onto the shaft of the gearbox and his comment when I questioned him was "it's all custom, what do you expect. Use a flapper wheel to grind out the centre and make it fit". I was not impressed after spending a lot of coin. Setup is OK, but slips a bit when giving it sh*t 2nd to 3rd... which likely means an entirely new setup = $$$. They shut down about 1-2years ago... I did run cams in mine too, so was a tad lumpy, but nothing I would expect otherwise? Motor was running sweet after the rebuild on the standard M60B40 DME. I did replace all vacuum hoses and modified the PCV setup at the time. Best to check for vacuum leaks and the MAF before taking it to Gavin.
  14. Great work Richard! When are you planning on coming to Auckland for the tune? Perhaps we could arrange a meetup if my car is running again by then... currently installing XYZ coilovers too and a few other teething issues

    [ E30 ] VERSION 2

How's this going Blair? Any updates?
  16. Nice mate, good progress and thanks for photos of the PMC adapter. Heard a bit about it but never seen the exact setup.
  17. All the best Glenn, thanks for your help over the years. Ian.
  18. Yip at Gavin's. I didn't ask for a print out, but we actually made 375rwhp before dialling it back. I'm told his dyno often reads lower than others, but meh... a dyno is a TUNING TOOL, not a bragging tool... I'll take a video in the weekend of idle.
  19. Haha, fair enough... i'm not telling porkies, rest assured. This is the only video I got of the day and it's close enough to 370 to prove it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-mlPsJxJVQ
  20. Without the cam work, the idle was mint. With cams, the ICV was struggling to keep the idle level and it hunted. Currently sounds good, can definitely tell they're not factory!
