How do you remove rear swaybar links on e34
Creaver replied to Creaver's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Well, what an improvement! Bloody awesome, however one problem i'm having is the FL swaybar link seems to keep undoing itself. We loctite'd it but it's still undoing itself...we're going to try leaving it overnight for the loctite to set? But while it was still holding tight was awesome heading out to Maraetai along clevedon scenic route Saw an e46 M3 with the plate FALL3N...I think that person is on these forums? -

Had a good google before posting and no unfortunately...I don't see any bolts/nuts, it's a little figure 8 looking thing which has 2x bushes in it, one of which is around the swaybar, another goes into a bolt/nut. I cant get the one off the sway bar. -
As the topic says...i'm having trouble removing the rear swaybar links. They just don't want to come off, any ideas?

March I might be up for it.......Feb not however. Please keep us informed if a March one happens -
I was blatantly speeding through an intersection in botany to get through the lights, obviously my car isn't the quietest...and a cop was filling up at the bp (near glenns workshop). He chased me about 3km down the rd after he'd filled up...and ended up giving me a warning. I suppose he didn't catch my speed, and couldn't do me for that, but I was still shitting myself wondering what would happen etc. Pleasant enough guy, as already mentioned, respect them and cooperate, and chances are they might go easy on you (in my experience anyway).

Welcome to the club! Looking good, how many km's?

Do you have a pic of the top of the radiator? Had a look at my mates 320i and he has a tube thing which goes into an overflow. And his top hose connector appears to be moved further to the left I think from what I can remember.

Simon - nah, 540i's still on stands, waiting for swaybar links (front and rear) and the 'pitman arms' as bmw calls them, also called 'dog bones' supposedly? to arrive and my swaybar bushes! Shocks/springs are next on the to do list Some good suggestions there...but SOME of them can't really be done at 12:15am especially when your mrs has work the following day at 7am

Right, icecream shopping it is!

Hmmm, might just waste time driving there, head down queen st, buy an icecream at a servo somewhere, and then head home
