  7. hi all this may be a stupid question but are all e30 2 door rear 1/4 panels the same. i.e is there i differance between fl and pfl or differance between years. the main area im looking at is the rear guard. thanks for your help
  8. strangly yes it did about the only thing he got right about it and one of the only things im keeping lol but to be honest i wasnt going to pay much for it and when he dropped it off and i pointed out all the bits he got wrong it gost me next to nothing .
  9. hi all im parting out a complete running 1990 316i 2 door engine and 5 speed in good condition (can still hear running) still has live plates just on hold. i also have a set of bottle cap rims with center caps and very good tyres. just ask if these anything you need and make an offer. cheers imageshack.com

  11. hi all so im about to start a e30 build mainly for track days to start off but would love to do some sealed hill climbs and if i get the chance a targa down the line some time. oh and i want it road legal. so i picked this pile of junk up a couple of months ago. sorry about the shitty pics ^i was going to use this ^ but will now be the parts car. as i got my hands of this(should be able to get it down to chch early next year) will be able to tell you more and get some more pics once its down here. (some of you may now the car) thats it for now cheers

  17. i was told about the rust and i allready have a rear panel ill weld and i do about 99% of my own work . i was just going to take it to vtnz see it fail on all its going to fail on and just work me threw it. it will be just for 100% track fun but will need to drive it to and from the track. i will be pissed off if its not a lsd and not twin cam but i didnt pay much at all for it and hes dropping it to chch for me. did you have a good look at it? if so did you notic any other major rust? and is the inside clean or stuffed. cheers dan

  19. thanks guys it will be raod legal so i can drive it to the track and back home. so if i take out as much as i can and just leave the front seats with belts and just whats needed dash wise thats a good start. (still good for a wof?) so then maybe do shocks ,springs (it has lowed king springs) and brakes. i do have a nice fj20et sitting in my escort van thats not doing much lol...but i dont realy want to do a convertion just yet. any one want to swap some standard e30 rims .im after these with tyre for these they are 17s dont know what the tyres are like yet anyone keen

  21. hi all ive just picked myself up a 1990 e30 318i 2 door its in ok condition with 17" rims.(will be changing for 15s or even standard rims) i bought it for some fun to have on track days and spped events out at ruapuna. i have had e30s in the past but all 325i powered ive never had a 4 cylinder 1. now i am not wanting to do an engine convertion on it i am just wanting to up the power a wee bit and just make it breath better. so what are the best ways of doing this? and how much weight can i take out of it while kepping it road legal? cheers dan
  22. yeh thats the thing for me i am wanting to do a bit of racing and even give the targa a try at some point. thats why i dont what to buy a m3(and the cost) as i would hate to have a big OFF and total a m3 the kit i had in the uk was full fiberglass and like i say it wasnt to bad but the boot cos its a differant shape just let the whole thing down. i grew up in a panel shop and did the hole thing my self it was only for driffting and i new that it would last long but it done the job ok.
  23. oh yeh it does come down the loder you get but they realy sting you if your nuder 25. and unfortuitly they wernt classed as aclassic when i had them.... bugger.....
