Nah, held it for him for 2 weeks but failed to reply to emails. So I put it on trademe and got a better price anyway in under a week Haha I wish I could upgrade to the M3, I'm going car-less for now!!

Variable Valve Timing and Electronic lift Control. Honda came up with it first for their motorbikes and were the first to transfer it to cars, the first production model produced in 1989. (as far as I know they are the first! Correct me if anyone beat them to it)

Ok, heres a different view... Sure, hondas have their share of their idiot drivers, with distatesful mods... Same goes for any other car. The rant about honda drivers up there could easily be swapped for any brand For instance, what about all the tossers in an E30 318i, running around on 18 inch chromes weighing a huge amount, spoiling the handling and slowing accelleration and in my opinion looking pretty awful. Then theres the chopped springs, bouncing all over the rd bad sounds etc etc. Exactly your scenario but swap the car and brand. Likewise, the dickwads running around in 1987 FX GTs, who can "destroy" anything 0-60kmh off a traffic light, big wheels, chopped springs, fart can exhaust etc etc again... Or an old 323 wagon, piled with mates same scenario, same mods.... What I'm trying to say is why point the finger at a brand, when its obviously the same type of people being antisocial, not one brand or type of car. I notice no one has given an example of Hondas that don't fit that stereotype... Well here you go. I used to have a 1997 Type R Integra, I did a few basic mods (purely for a performance increase) including Koni shocks, Advan Neova AD05/06 tyres, lightweight (5.3kg per wheel) wheels, cat back exhaust with a Mugen twinloop muffler (QUIETEST muffler you can get) and brake pad upgrade. Good enough for 1.26 around Manfeild with me (novice driver) at the wheel. Dynoed with just an intake it pulled 134 kW @ 8200 rpm. Doesn't really fit into the "cut spring" and "mod for looks catergory" ? Not all honda drivers are dropkicks.... But they have their fair share of idiots. I just think its immature to pick on one brand.

Oh yeah I remember him!! His dad used to own james smith centre or something like that?
-
Yeah exactly. Personally though I find the retarded hoody wearing rotor in a DX corolla being obnoxiously loud, even at idle, alot more annoying.
-
I didn't take them, but heres a few shots of my old car... most of em were taken at the old shelley bay airforce base.
-
Who is that dude?
-
FINALLY got some more pictures.
-
Sweet as, sent you a PM.
-
Yeah sure I'll show you it sometime.... It sucks but travelling at the end of the year is going to be even more fun!
-
Hey man, yeah I did. Running great!!

Hey guys, I haven't had it for long but unfortunately I have to sell now It was never going to be a long term car (I'm going travelling at the end of the year) and to secure all our bookings we have to pay alot earlier than I thought So I have to sell this sooner than expected. Heres the specs- Will put it on trademe soon but would prefer someone from here to buy it. I'll get some more pictures in the weekend (if its sunny!) Car: 1990 BMW 325i 4 door sedan, black/diamond grey metallic colour 248kms on body 54kms on Supra engine and manual gearbox Black leather, sports seats, sunroof Other mods -Custom extractors -Air filter -Exhaust with 2 BIG resonators- very quiet. Room to get a bit more power here with a bigger diameter exhaust, goes well as it is though. -Tints all round -Lowered (nb- back springs aren't installed yet- so thats why the back may look a touch high in the pics) -Headunit, 6x9s, sub, amp -17 inch alloys with around 4mm of tread on tyres -Good 4/5 star alarm: Will disclose make to buyer Other things -Fully LVV certed -Brand new Rego -Brand new warrant- Sheet available, no problems found. -Body very straight, has a few dents and scratches what you would expect for a 1990 car. Awesome cheap to run, fun car. Very nicely balanced, the Supra engine was lighter than the original 2.5 litre and gearbox. Been running like this for around 2 years, so no reliability issues. Any questions, ask here or PM Based in Wellington, happy for people to view. Heres a few, quick hurried pics- I want $7,000 for it which I think is a very good price- I will put it on trademe for a touch higher but yeah would much prefer to sell it on here to someone who will look after it. Thanks Chris

Not bad at all mate! In my opinion, dynos are only good for measuring a gain, rather than outright power. Theres so much variance between dynos that the only meaningful use they have is if you go to one dyno, do mods, then go back to the same dyno with the same settings. For example, my old car (Integra Type R) produced 134 wheel kW @ 8200 rpm at chequered flag at petone... If I went across to Andre Simon's dyno I would have got around 120-125 wkW. Also another goodmeasure would be to compare ETs and trap speeds down the 1/4 mile before/after mods. Peak power doesn't mean much on its own anyway... I'd rather look at the area under the curve

Nice car dude, loving it!
-
completed. Yeah, i just wanted to use a different word than done.

The most important thing to remember when replacing the filter is to make sure that the new setup has a nice flow of cold air and some sort of heat sheilding from the underbonnet heat. Just shoving a filter in there may well end up with a decrease in power!
-
Nice mate! I'm sure you will have great fun with it.
-
Running Supra Gearbox. The shifter is positioned a little further back than the usual place. Will get some engine pics too. Was going to when I took the other ones, but the bloody camera battery died!
-
Yeah sure I'll find his details for you. Heres a few pics, didn't get time to wash it and it was getting dark but hey-

The seats look original, as they match the black leather of the back seats. They dont have any M sport emblem on them. They are SO comfortable though! And have a thigh support adjustment. I'll get some pics up soon so you can see it. Exterior has a few scratches etc, but what do you expect from a 1990 car. The colour is awesome- I think it maybe called diamond schwartz metallic?? One of the nicest factory colours I've seen. Haha, would love to turbo it but that costs a bucket load of money. At the moment, it feels nicely balanced- Not crazily overpowered, but good useable power with heaps of torque. And nicely balanced, the 2JZ is a bit lighter than the original 2.5 that was in it.

Haha, thought that may be the case. Will get some pictures most likely in the weekend. Yep got it off trademe.
