kink is a bit worse that i thought. Chrome is good but you would want a panelbeater to straighten?
-
Will trade on an E39 with some cash. pref a silver, must be well maintained. 525i upwards.
-
complete except for the little balck knob on the end. Includes surround and c/s screw $45

In natural black - came off the boot of a PFL 325i nice and clean, has all the bolts. Best one ive seen. $125 plus postage.

Includes front markers $200. In Mt Maunganui and can drop at mainfreight if required. Very good condition, one slight kink in the botton edge of the rear but that will straighten easily. Well looking at it again it may require a panel beater to striaghten properly. Price reduced to $150 for the pair.

Looks great, my suggestions would be to get your chrome bumpers painted to match the car colour and shadow the rest including the windscreen surround. I have a set of refurbed 15" weaves that would finish off nicely.

I had some e30 ones cleaned at a deisel specialist. 4 for $80. They ran 2 cans of brake cleaner through them then tested the spray pattern. O rings were a DIY using circlip pliers ro remove/refit. Even though they looked dirty to me the guy said they were fine. I no longer get injectors cleaned.

So you are in the states as well then?
-
yes i still have a PFL lower lip, the black plastic part.

What an egg, he should have sold them outside the shop and THEN bought his parts.

Funnily enough selling my last purple E30 was an absolute dream. The guy gave me $4500 before picking up the car, and even wanted to pay the rest until I told him it wasn't a good idea! My question is why did you stop him? Those buyers, the ones that freely admit they know "absolutely nothing" about cars and offer to pay upfront. Unfortunately they are few and far between.

29. Starts phone conversation with "Hi I'm a semi-retired car dealer looking for car for a friend........" followed by an offer $1k below the asking. I know its bullshit because car dealers have no friends.

18. just last week - arranges to inspect e30, just wants to talk bmws, leaves without looking at car or driving it. WTF?

This made me laugh. Feel free to add any favourites; Tyre kicker (n.) A person who appears interested in buying your car, but on the day displays any of the following traits. Does not show up Does not bring money Kicks the tyres and complains about even the most minor faults Seems to know barely anything about the car Offers stupid money (a large amount either side of what you expected) Keeps asking if he can part exchange his rusty jappa for your car, not wondering why anyone wouldn't want it Assumes the car is in fine working condition just by kicking the tyres Tries to drive a restoration project dozens of miles home with him. Asks questions repeatedly, specifically ones mentioned in adevertising the car Gets the manufacturers' name wrong Asks if you are willing to transport the car without charge. Makes a bid for a car placed on trademe or similar without any positive feedback Makes the winning bid on Trademe then turns up and tries to negotiate Dresses up as, or asserts that they are a priest or mulla in an attempt to pay less for the car Is a young driver who just passed his test looking to buy a cheap old car, rice it up, and show off to thier friends. Quite likely to wreck it in a month.

quote "I was chiseling away, when suddenly, entirely unexpectedly, the fridge made a noise that I can only describe as sounding like Elton John on the morning after a particularly good curry at George Michael's place." the options are endless....

Looking to buy a 520i with the M50 engine for a niece, took for a drive and engine has an intermittent knock/rattle, sounds like the water pump? or front/top end of the engine. Any suggestions? 260kms. I was thinking maybe chain guides cos it is not continous, its like knock.....knock, knock..............knock. Transmission has that faint whizzing noise that follows the revs, is that terminal or a slow wear issue?
