  1. Try the batteryclinic.co.nz (EDIT) for second hand de-sulphated batteries
  2. Have a pair of standard aubergine leather seats from a 96 e39, availbale for parts, motors trim etc. Drivers seat centre seam has lost some thread. Have retrofitted some sport seats so tensioners are gone. $50 the pair? Will sell bits like headrests, motors separately. Be quick or they are off to the dump.
  3. Rattlecan wrinkle - Make sure you strip/prep them well and you have an oven that is large enough to cure then in. I tried doing mine on the barbeque with the hood down and it did not produce the desired finish.
  4. i love the thought process... where can i stay in stratford? wheres that pic of my hoist? should i sell it? view porn what's on at the flicks? yes i will sell it!
  5. That blue 34 looks awesome. Mine is the same colour but scratched up and with ugly wheels. I think you have just inspired me to get a respray!
  6. My 2c worth on this is that you are losing coolant. That suggests you have a leak somewhere which will be de-presurising your cooling system. When the system is not presurized the coolant will boil at a lower temp and overheat. Are you re-bleeding the system when you top it up? Is there a boiling sound when you switch it off? Before i replaced any parts i would get a pressure testdone. If no obvious leaks under the hood i'd be checking the heater tap for a leak at the o-rings. Could also be that HG letting go.
  7. Have you got an is lip? The sills look weird if colour matched i reckon unless you also colour mtach the black front and rear valences.

    Mr Scratchy

must have come from another wellington bush dweller, my 540i looked like that. Not an issue for auckland cars - its all agapanthas up there.
  9. found and bought - mod can delete this listing thanks
  10. one of mine is suspect so i'd like a pair of good ones to swap/compare
  11. they're ok, their website is easy to use, time from order to delivery is slower than some. Maybe they are on the east coast? I placed one order with ECS on 17 March and it arrived yesterday. I placed an order with Eeuroparts.com on 24 March and it arrived today. (water damaged) The ECS site showed the order was sitting waiting on parts and when i queried they said it would not be shipping for another 5 days. Then i got a USPS update saying it had shipped the next day. The live chat dude i dealt with was pretty nonchalant. Goods arrived well packed but looks like customs had opened it and left items out of their boxes.. nice one NZ customs Remember $340US in parts and shipping will equate to about $400 NZ.
  12. Looking for a nice set of 17" rims for my E46 so I guess E36 and E90 fitment will apply. I have one of these (wider rear) so if anyone has the other 3? long shot I know. What have you got?
  13. centre bore dimension please - is it to suit e30 ?
  14. Replaced the front left hub on an e46 last night - left the strut on the car. When installing the new one I did a check measure of the strut stub sticking out the bottom. hard up It was 53mm on the pass side but 58mm on the drivers side. Is this normal? maybe pre-camber for sloping road?
  15. very nice - whats your opinion on the Konis?
  16. Some constructive comments because it looks like a nice car - you could improve your TM listing quite a bit TBH, below average pics, crap in the car, main photo taken in front of some rubbish bins. People buy off the pics. If your gonna list it dirty with a bung window and 520i in the title expect offers around $1500. With some new pics and a good groom i'm sure you could get over 2k
  17. Factory msport is a nice height on these, I'd find a complete low mileage set of msport springs and shocks to match your model.
  18. Hi, Looking for a good tidy e34 525i with the M50 engine. Wanting something with a good service history, working AC, newish radiator. I am watching a number on TM already so no links please. Am hoping for a well maintained members car. I have a set of leathers so seats are not important. Budget is around $2000 PM or 021 02657487, Cheers Chris
  19. waiting patently for parts to arrive, especially the new chain so i can see if the old one was stretched. Decided to full the intake and do the valley pan, intake gaskets and check a bolt on the PCV plate i did last year. Messy job, cable sheath turned to dust and lots of crap in the valley to clean out... While the intake was off i thought i would pull the dodgy wiper mechanism that is slowly grinding the edge of the bonnet away. Has anyone sourced the brass bushes to do this repair? alternatively anyone have a good arm lying around let me know. All my knock sensor are badly cracked so adding them to the list.
  20. if they find clutch material in the pan, I don't think there is much point in spending $$ replacing the fluid.
  21. was your old account sierra something? from your vid, thats not the check engine light its the check panel which will usually light up brakelights on the overhead display until you touch the brake pedal, then it goes out. What parts came with the new engine and which parts are from the old one? Is the intake manifold from the old or the new? who put the new engine in?
  22. Mine are standard, I'd be happy to swap for some low
