thanks will do.

haha good call.

I like it how the weight of the turbo is taken from the block, which is less stress on the manifold right
-
Haha na this is a pic i found on Bimmerforums nope im using the m52 stainless ones to the first v band then the rest will be mild yeah mines 4" stainless atm, i will need to get a bit of 4" pipe and run it through under the headers and around the steering column to make sure there is enough room, i might make a custom engine mount for that side too to give me a bit more room.

crunchy what do you think about 2 38mm waste gates as they are cheap and available. that way in also can completely separate the flow in the twin scroll. ill save myself 1000 if i can make this manifold myself, my twin t4 flange will arrive tomorrow.

Ok so this weekend been i spent a little bit of time mocking up the manifold on a dummy car with a m52 engine in it.. turning over my factory j pipe manifolds and cutting the existing pipe off were they all join into one, then get tig welded a v band ring as the headers are stainless. Then making up 1 section joining the two 3 bank manifolds via v band to the turbo and wastegate out of mild steel as i have a mig but no tig. and mounting the turbo where the ac was seems to be the only way for rhd e36's as seen in this pic below

ha good stuff, i look forward to seeing the final product. you've inspired me to build my own intake plenum now...
-
Ha ill bet this is it
-
Is that better greg

i got that chinese one on trade me at the moment for sale. i wonder if id get more money for 8 evo injectors... hmmm yeah i heard they do a good job. ill spend one day on the manifold and if it dont work that will be my next step
-
haha yeah they are too. will fix that right away.
-
really... ohh man. you think its worth the effort? or look for something else?
-
Yeah I guess so, google says these leads are suppose to increase the spark over 50 times the spark of the coil.. hmm dont know how true that is.. i feel a test coming on lol that 3 blade chip, i wouldn't know were to put it and how it should look, wire in etc. anyone have pics of the install? Oh and im on the hunt for a tial wastegate or a good branded one, if anyone has one or knows where the cheapest ones are please share

I have just been offered a swap, my shinny chrome turbo manifold for 8 evo 560cc injectors pt- MDL510 Yellow top Green bottom, question is... good deal and would they be suitable for my set up?
-
Yes most of my parts were sponsored to me by Sdeuropean z3 steering rack and x brace my rims and heaps of other items... they are my biggest sponsor
-
What do you think of the new design??
-
Ignighters, are they coils?? excuse my ignorance lol Also I found these on my travels today, you think i should use em?
-
Cool, but i have loads of knock sensors lying around worth chucking two on, the block has the mounts for em. I would like to learn how to do all the data logging and tuning of it myself with ma laptop, its quite interesting stuff. Got my turbo today...
-
yeah lol wtf , that phase/era didnt last long haha
-
Got the g4 extreme now, i got it on loan from my brother. i will need to buy the loom and map sensor unit, what else will i need to get this engine running?? oxy sensor etc.. knock sensors...??
-
I think the j pipes should do if im doing it myself, although my mate at dyno power today says he can make one better than the one on my facebook page for pretty cheap. yeah crunchy the new engine will get the treatment, all the bling haha spinning rims and all.

just a quick update.... left side guards paneled and primed most dents removed, also added extra support top of strut towers, i used the thickest top hat i could find with the 3 bolt that matched and cut it up and welded it on, so that and all the seam welding with use of the cross brace and strut brace should make it a lil bit more rigid right. im going to make my own strut brace one the engines in, this one i got is a bit thin in the wall.

thanks I had a look at the T04z on wed, looks good, i will be buying the turbo next week, it is a twin scroll one for 1500, and a link g4 wire-in to come, i will set it up and run it on this m50b28nv i built at the start of this thread, and then will build another one on forged rods and pistons. im not going to run a thicker head gasket but a steel one??, but some arp studs would be nice, pm me the cost on them. what do you reckon about flipping the m52 exhaust manifolds over and welding two pipes and running to the turbo? utilizing the two scrolls on the turbo.. twin waste gated too.? save time on the tricky parts.

Nope, i have a customer who wants one..
