  1. sh*t im thinking i need some sponsors haha
  2. Im hoping this will do for what the stock engine can put out, i really just want to speed the project along a bit, its getting sunny and i want to go out and enjoy what i have built as soon as it starts to slip ill be swapping it out for something mighty there is still alot to do like the drivetrain, gearbox driveshaft diff and axles, rear subframe, speaking of rear subframe and components does the E46 rear end fit into the e36?
  3. I got my turbo wastegates downpipes and waste runners back yesterday, i should be getting the manifold back from getting the faces planed on Monday, then sending it straight to get coated. i hope to have it on the engine and in the car next weekend fingers crossed This weekend i will be installing new lower control arms with e30 outer ball joints as they don't have play in them like e36 ones, z3 steering rack because less turns to full lock and engine x member because it has holes to mount with the x brace. so its all go tomorrow
  4. This is probably the way i will go, so i will keep you in mind once i build the new engine, in the mean time i have sent my m20 flywheel and clutch assy away to get reworked as much as it can and hope it will do on this engine. The dyno should show if it starts to slip right?
  5. This is the clutch set up my brother is running in his e30 m54 3L with m20 light flywheel. Question is will this be alright for my car? its only $370inc
  6. Anyone got any recommendations on clutch set ups?
  7. I sent them the link to Facebook page they told me 300+gst which I thought was not to bad. That's manifold waste runners and down pipe.
  8. Pro coat in auckland http://www.procoat.co.nz/black_satin.htm I can imagine freight to christchurch would be a killer lol
  9. haha nothings free in this world james, not sure on the costings yet, ill let know soon Ok so today i fitted my slotted discs, ran my brake pipes and clutch pipe bleed them up, was not as productive as i wanted but was up pretty late last night putting the engine together, My m50 motor now has an m52 loom as it has knock sensors and a vanos plug which i sure i can find a use for. it was also a loom off an auto car, i went through and cut it out, there was a couple of wires what i dont know what to do with ill post a pic maybe some can tell me
  10. Hey a friend of mine will be making me up some m50 intake flanges with injector holes, does anyone want or need any a pic below of what it will look like.
  11. Right so i worked late tonight to get my engine together, ive decided not to run with the red coil leads for now, if i have any problems later due to heat i will use them. also not a fan of the red in my engine bay lol
  12. Looking for some race seats, New ones... cheap ones but good ones any reconmendations? I need 4 of them.
  13. Yeah sweet as, got to be in the weekend though. I should be getting my manifold back this week and weather permitting ill dig my engine out and give it a tidy up.
  14. Got a wee bit done today, put together doors, made my door barrels to match the key, put the hinges on and a few other things around the car. wish we longer weekend its never enough time... My in the dark cold night spraying left a couple of run's in the paint but lucky they are in places you cant see
  15. You keep saying this... haha. and you should update your sh*t i wana see some pics...
  16. Pt number says the coils are from a e39 M5 and also other v8 bmws the set came off a e46 330i. Cheers bro maybe one day soon.
  17. I think as the downpipe is so close to the coils it may be a good idea to run leads, a pic below of what i have got should be good with a custom bracket
  18. hahaha, thanks. its getting there
  19. she'll be right mate, got a few good coats of clear on after that pic plus its not not like we have a shortage of m50 rocker covers right kerry, can have one in orange or green as well
  20. I find myself getting side tracked looking at wheels and thinking of ideas, i think ill decide on wheels once the car is ready to drive. and ill have a read too, cheers. ok so today i cut my bumper support frame to make room for the inter-cooler, it fit perfectly i was very surprised now i have got to get someone to weld some alloy tags to hold it in place. also painted my tappet cover and inside of boot and doors, just finished now don't recommend doing this when it is cold and have poor lighting, a lil nervous to see what it looks like tomorrow.

  23. I can do with wiring for $25inc each plus $5inc freight anywhere in nz, cheers. will post a pic if interested.
  24. Here's an idea, let me know what you think.. I have set of e34 x spoke 15x7" rims as seen in the pic below, i was thinking about getting another set of your standard not so desirable 15" wheels and using the lathe cutting 3 1/2" off the rear of the standard ones and 1" off the x spoke and then join the 3 1/2" rear section up with the front section of the x spoke. which should give me a 15x9.5" rim and make 15x9" for the front as i have done some fitments and that's the widest i can go for both. Then polish the lip and paint the center and wrap em with some R888's?
  25. hmmm.. if that will work has it been done? i dont want to sell him all the goodies then have him return them...
