  1. I finally got around to phoning Glen. What a top bloke - told me to bring my car down, even though it was Saturday and he does not normally work Saturdays. Problem sorted quickly and with no fuss. All this for very reasonable cost, and very good advice (probably will save me $$$ in the medium-long run) thrown in for free. Thanks, Glen. I am lucky I live handy to Botany Motor Worx - I now have a great place to get a great service. BTW, the project car looks intriguing too! I am a very happy camper again.
  2. What size tyres are on the rims? Cheers Brett
  3. Hi Greg If you press and hold the memo button for about 5 seconds, you can use the 10 & 1 buttons to set the minute required (by then pressing "set"). This sets a reminder beep for that time - 3-4 short beeps from memory. To cancel the memo. press it again - the triangular bars should disappear from the clock display. (i'm like you and need to know!) Cheers Brett
  4. Thanks to thse who give advice on this forum - after reading quite a few threads I removed my head unit and plugged in the "antenna" plug - to power the amplifier (?) near the ariel. My reception is now so much better, and I'm not cursing the cr***y import head unit and band expander. Thanks people! Brett

Hi Thanks for the offer - it may be more of a hassle to get them to Auckland than it's worth. I'll keep in mind and let you know soon. Cheers Brett

As I say to one of my sons "Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should do it!"
  7. Thanks for that Ian. I presumed that I was up for some sort of re-finishing. I wasn't sure if it could be "localised", or if the whole bonnet needs to be done. Cheers Brett

    E36 Mags for sale

HiI am interested if you still have them - are the tyres 205/60 x 15? Cheers Brett
  9. Hi IanI think they are in factory finish - car is '97 Japanese import and looks pretty straight around front end. I have had it for just on a year, polished only 2-3 times a year, and generally only hand washed. Thanks Brett
  10. Hi The paint has started to "discolour" on a couple of spots on the bonnet - I think it is the clearcoat oxidising and coming off. I have also noticed another patch startin on the RHS. Any suggestions on how to fix this up? Thanks Brett

Hi The remote lock/key lock feature of the windows works on my '97 323 sedan - I'll give the unlock a go too to see if tha works. The middle lever on the side of the seat on my car is for seat angle, the front is fixed and the rear part raises and lowers - but if it is already at its lowest and you're sitting in it, then you may have to give it a hand to raise it. Cheers Brett
  12. Hi Glenn Thanks for the advice - I will give it a go today - if this doesn't work, I may book in to see you next week. Cheers brett
  13. Hi Yuen - I like driving the BMW - but really only get it in the weekends - so have to make the most of it.Cheers Brett
  14. Thanks Yuen - I thought as much - only recently got the car and still getting used to all the extra "features" not on my nissan! (should probably disconect battery when doing anything on electrics - irrespective of make!).
  15. Hi I cleaned the interior of my '97 323i - removed seats to clean accumulated crud. Now, the Air Bag Waring light stays on. I don't think I damaged anything - does the computer need to be reset? Thanks in advance for advice/help.
