I got let off doing a bit of a drift on a roundabout once. In all honesty it was intentional, and i should have lost my licence for 6 but somehow he let me drive away. It was in the industrial part of town, late at night with 0 traffic and the roads were wet so it was pretty harmless, but i did still break the law and get away with it

Not sure if the setup of 318i and 320i are the same, but i had a similar problem on my 320. Turned out to be a little wire coming off the starter motor solenoid (unloader control wire i think?) all i had to do was clean it up a bit and put it back on properly. Its the top connection from memory Im not sure if 318i is the same tho

Thanks for the info. Done the job last weekend, bolted straight on with no problems. They look exactly the same.

Check the switches first, a bit easier to get to. Rule that out first

So ive fixed it!! Turns out it was that wire coming from the solenoid on the starter, was a solid black wire for me. I had previously looked for that wire to fix the problem but couldn't figure it out because the wire i was looking for wasn't there, it was compleatly disconnected and had worked its way into a blind spot where i couldn't find it...until just now, wooo!! thanks guys

Yea lifted it a bit, but a combination of not the right tools and working on a gravel driveway didn't make it a good time by any means

So ive got a fault thats got me stumped. My electric windows on my 89' 2 door e30 only work when either the drivers or passengers door is open. When i got the car they worked perfectly, but over time slowly stopped working. What Ive tried: -replaced all related fuses -Made sure the circuit breaker was working properly (it is) -I read somewhere that it could be the unloader relay (K7). Replaced that, still no go I get power to the switches and it works fine with the door open enough to activate the interior lights, but as soon as the lights go off everything stops going. Ive done a little research and heard of a few cases of this problem, but cant find a thread with the solution, has this happened to anyone on here? Any help, input, suggestions greatly appreciated

So i may have scraped a hole in my sump.... I was just wondering if any m20 e30 sump will bolt straight up, my friend has a cooked m20 out and offered me the sump if it will fit. I Have a m20b25 and the maybe replacment is from a m20b20 Thanks

Are e30 FL and PFL bonnets interchangeable or are they a different design?
