Hi all Watched Seven Sharp last night and there was a story about a couple who got locked inside their brand new Mazda3 for 13 hours as their key fob was out of range. Turns out there was a manual lock/unlock switch on the door which they didn't know about. Anyway, this got me investigating how to manually unlock my e87 from the inside with no key fob. My wife locked me in and I tried the following with no luck: 1. Pulling lock knob up 2. Pulling door handle twice (note this does work if car is locked using the console switch but not the key fob) 3. Opening boot 4. Using lock/unlock button on centre console Does anyone have any idea how to unlock car from the inside without having the key fob? Seems kind of dodgy if it can't be done. Obviously if you were getting desperate you could try smash your way out however the gent on TV tried to use his jack and still couldn't smash the window. Cheers Dean

Hi guys 168,000Km $3900ono Finally decided to sell my car. I've owned it for 7 years and am pretty sad to see it go. Please see trade me ad. Location: Newtown, Wellington - Great condition (no cracks in dash) - Awesome factory colour (Mineralblau) the only one I've seen in NZ this colour. - Colour coded bumpers - Manual conversion by JK Southern Euro - M Tech 1 steering wheel - 14" BBS Basketweave alloys - Lowered 30mm - Electric windows, electric mirrors, fuel injection, power steering Regularly serviced and lots of parts have been replaced in last couple of years: brake pads and rotors and lines, radiator, power steering rack, fuel pump, control arms and bushes Spark plugs and air filter replaced in April. THE NOT SO GOOD - Stereo turns off when you drive over bumps - Central locking plays up sometimes but is working well at the moment. Usually fixed with lubricant. Inspection welcome. 0274601365

The post 2007 models have the N43. Is there much of a difference between them and N46?

Looking at trading my e30 for a 2007 or later 120i M Sport in a next few months. Its hard to find much info on these in NZ so have a few questions: Does anyone have any experience with these good or bad? What model run flats would people recommend? Who makes the BMW Professional stereos in these? Something like this is what I'm looking at: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-745442751.htm

You don't think his story adds up and that you are very very suprised that he is being taken to court when the police don't have any evidence but then you go on to say that you have been taken to court for a traffic offence with "absolutly no evidence". Surely you of all people would then believe it could happen??

I thought about trying kiwibank before I signed up to ASB. I went to go talk to them and had to line up for ages with people buying post bags, paying car regos etc that I ended up walking out. After 3 years on a student account, westpac assumed my partner was no longer a student so they changed her account to one with fees for every EFTPOS transaction without telling her they were going to do it. She kept on using her card for everything, racking up heaps in fees (including interest on her free overdraft). She was still a student as she is doing post-grad work and when she went to tell them they put her back on a student account but wouldn't refund the fees. She left them pretty wuick after for ASB

I changed from ANZ to ASB last year and haven't looked back. The interest rates were better with ASb, customer service was HEAPS better, they are open in the malls in Wellington which means late nights and weekends and their fees were less.
