Hey Guys, E30 sedan 320i Year: 1988 facelift Vin number: WBAAD020103888200 Import / NZ new: Jap import My heater fan only works on setting 4. From what I can tell this is usually due to a faulty resistor pack for the heater blower. Where is this resistor located on an e30? I have read that it is behind the fire wall (accessed from engine bay) but I have also read that it is accessed from the passanger side footwell? Also does anyone know how much these cost new or 2nd hand? Cheers, Dean

Paul, do you mean that washer fluid is spraying out of a tiny hole in the white T shaped valve that splits the hose into left and right? If so just replace the valve. They are ~$20 from the dealer and have a limited life expectancy. Has happened to me twice.

I'm going to take it in to get the wheels re-balanced and if that doesn;t work I think it will be off to the workshop Thansk for teh replies guys

Thanks guys. The balances are still on all the rims and all the tyre pressures are good. I'll tighten all the wheel nuts tonight. Yesterday when I first turned the car on it would not go into gear (i.e. I would slide the selector down into D or R and nothing would happen). I turned the car off and on again and everything was fine. Don mentioned it could be the gearbox mount. Do you think this could be related?

1988 e30 320i facelift Auto sedan Over easter my car developed a "shudder" when accelerating between ~80-90Kmh. It is much more noticable when accelerating slowley and I have not noticed it at any other speeds. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Tyres are ~1 year old and all in good nick. Cheers

Hey guys, PLEASE HELP!!!! I’m a Radiation Therapist at the Wellington Blood and Cancer Centre. From March 27th to 28th myself and a number of my colleagues are participating in the Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. This is a 24 hour walk/run team relay around Frank Kitts Park in Wellington. The aim is to raise funds for the Cancer Society, celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember those lost to the disease and to promote awareness. I get to see the fantastic work the Cancer Society do each day as part of my job. They provide free services, information and support to people with cancer and their families from the moment of diagnosis right through to treatment and recovery. Their services also include volunteer transport to and from treatment, counseling, support groups, as well as funding research into prevention, detection and treatment of cancer. I think they are pretty good looking cars and defiantly have awesome interiors. I'm not a big fan of the front of the 156 but love the 159. Never driven one so can't be much help there sorry.

+1 on the T valve. Has happened to mine twice now. They are only around $12 from the dealer from memory.
