Hi Beam, happy new year.I have a E46 328 which i am awaiting delivery of OEM mount 304 SS headers, these are equal length units tig welded, unlike the standard stepped units on our cars which are restrictive. I will fit these headers to my vehicle and replace centre section post cats [2into 1] this area is restrictive and effects top end power. If all is good I will import units which the manufacture is developing for our Jap import fittment for a wide range of Bimmers.

Has anyone removed OEM headers? If so is removal from engine bay or underneath? Thanks.

Hi, Re your wheels go to trade me punch up BMW mags, guy there with user name of "Warlock", he imports wheels for Beemers and has knowledge. I bought some M3 replicas for my E46 last Christmas and i'm rapt.

Hold on guys! Iam in the process of importing SS/304 tig welded RHD, headers.Have got samples coming for my E46/ 328 and a friends car. W :banghead: ill test and post comments. Most models available, E30/ 4 and 6 cyl, E36, E46.

Hi Hybrid, did not mod exhaust today, shop was to busy, had car on hoist tho, does look a little restricted there, muffler shop wasnt to sure.I am looking at headers soon so may be prudent to start there. Have a friend at Claytons nth shore, he spoke to chief mechanic, he said big no no to replace centre section, car will run rough-[ wasn't to surprised to here that from them].

Middle man business market certainly not me!Will be chopping centre of exhaust out tomorrow, will let you know how it goes, will do headers next then re-map. You can feel this motor wanting to breathe! Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for your help will do that.By saying centre muffler, you mean the large resonater in front of diff? I have changed rear muffler to a twin tip 3" power pro sounds great but after 5 grand pull flatterns out.

Thanks, was looking to replace mid section as you have said.Was looking to replace cats with cobys and re-install sensors, any value in that?
