  1. Just been to see Gavin. He has all 0BD1/2 MS41/42/43 software.
  2. I hear you Glenn, this would classify as the poor mans catback. Ha. The cost of testing for a street car outways the potential gains. The section added is a vast flow improvement mod, at a modest cost. Will visit soon. Wayne.
  3. Thanks Jordy, yeah does sound nice deep and crisp but not loud. Can't wait till re-mapp should cackle nicely.
  4. Mate, You should have M54330 eng in your car with mid mount cats[Euro]. Short header will bolt up. Long needs welding.
  5. Hi Guys, Hybrid is to trial long headers on his 330. Shortie as this topic relates are on my M52 TU and go well. Shorts will fit M50/52/54 with mid mount cats.
  6. I think my M52 shorties will go on there Kerry!
  7. Had my exhaust flow increased by removing restrictive section post cats. Modded useing 2 x 57mm tubes then into a 76mm merge collector. Was fiddly job with sensor ports and removing exhaust from headers to weld. Exhaust note is deeper but not louder. Not the neatest of welding but good design in a very tight space. More power for sure after 4000 to red line, car was flat after 5000 before.
  8. Ring him Graham, I think he has E30 special at the moment, think around $700. Say you talking to me, he may sharpen further. Hi Velocity 4424451
  9. Have some Brian, just need to trial.
  10. System is 3/2/1 Ron. Header tube dia is 35mm, runner length average maybe around 35cm. There is a marked differance in head mount plate port size compared to OEM [as per pics].
  11. I hear you Ron and you make a lot of sense. To even get these headers to fit was a mission[rear section]. US speed shops selling them claim 8-10 eng HP, so my power is about right. They are a sport header and are priced to reflect that. The real plus I see now after 3 weeks driving is fuel saving and mid throttle power is way better. Really nice part throttle power.
  12. Hi Andy, what fuel/air metering system are you useing?
  13. Yes, and no post cat oxy sensors.
  14. Josh's car has cat back fitted now, prior his car had same exhaust, twin from header back to cat, then merge in a crushed pipe arrangement into single out to tailpipe.
  15. Thanks Ron, I value your comments. Was hopeing for a little more as you do. The Jap E46 M52 cars have a very average post cat exhaust which I think is restricting top end . Hybrid had his exhaust modded and gained noticable top end power. I think re-mapp also. Who knows how imports are mapped?
  16. Stainless 304 polished or ceramic coated. Suit M50/52/54 with mid cats. Big gain in throttle response and fuel saving, 7rwhp gain on my stock 328. Bolt direct to OEM front pipe. Polished = $450 to Bimmer members, complete with gaskets and bolts.
  17. Dyno figures for my shorties. Part to mid throttle driving much improved. Jap exhaust restricting top end I think.
  18. Changed, viscous fan clutch. All good now thanks.
  19. Glad to your are happy with headers Kerry. Looking back through your thread you say you have removed the secondary header stage [mid pipe crossover]. Was to wonder why as this is a very important part of this header design?
  20. No, not checked anything. Just seens to be getting a little more noisey. Will pop over to say hello. Thanks Glenn.
  21. One for Glenn I think! Noticable rattle when cold for around five mins until engine warm, at approx 1500 Rpm. I hear It is not uncommon, is there a fix? Car has done 60k. Thanks.
  22. Yes, you should have 2.5 eng. Just check you have mid mount cats.
  23. Hi, Will be $475.00. Thanks.
