hmmm all good advise. Had a look on trade me.there is some good second hand gear on there.there was a nice Phinox Gold amp on there for about $400.00.which I understand is supposed to be at the top of the food chain.Probably way more power than Ill ever need but as an example it was worth about $2000.00 new so Im thinking I should be able to find a good deal if I buy the right gear second hand.I just need to be patient.

O/k the wife has conceded that the stereo sounds crap in our 2000 323 I know it has 5.25s front and rear and tweeters in the door pillers. I get confliting reports of what to do by different salesmen and get the feeling some just want to get rid of old stock or sell me something that is big money or dodgy. I could go through loads of reveiws and lots of leg work but was wondering if someone here could save me the grief So I have a Grand to spend so what do I buy?

I had a similar thing happen to me except the guy blamed his younger brother offered to pay but never coughed up the cash and just to add insult to injury he sticks a unhappy face on my site and a whole lot of Bull Sht! #"":!!!*** Prick! Guys like this should be taken out of the gene pool!

Went to The big smoke today to have a look at some of the eye candy that was there and there was plenty to be found!Nothing in the way of BMW cars but was still worth a look.There was a set of mags there I thought I might try and fit on my ride.

Thanks for all this info.I havn't had my Bimmer long. I took off at the lights today and a chime started making a noise,didn't know what it was until I looked at the dash and was telling me the handbrake was on.The car impresses me more every day I drive it.

You know I consider myself a bit of a whizz when it comes to clocks. My step father repairs clocks.I have programed alot of time clocks over the yrs but do you think I can get the clock to adjust in my car! The manual is in Japanese so thats not a big help,but looking at the pretty pictures it seems to me that all you need to do is turn the right hand dash button to the right or left to adjust the time. The stem doesn't seem to turn either way so is there a fault with it?If I push it in it does change from12 to24 hr mode. Thanks for any help. Mr Beam

Thanks for the compliments.The car was imported a couple of months ago and to my Knowledge has always been In Tga. I brought it off a good friend who is a registered dealer importer. It was on trade me recently.

Hello fellow BMW owners! Thought I would join the collective and hopefully learn a thing or two on this great site. Recently sold my 1995 ford Telstar 2.5 v6 hatch which looked after me for nine yrs and brought this off a good friend of mine.Its good to get behind the wheel of something that doen't touque steer around corners.I had forgoten how great rear wheel drive cars perform.I wasn't to keen on going to a auto but the gearbox seems to work well.I read on a site that the GM autos in the2000 E46 323s gave abit of greif in reverse gear.I hope this won't be the case with mine.I have a good warrenty so I should have some piece of mind in this regard. First thing I might do is put a K&N filter on it.Iheard this is good for about an extra 5 to 7Kw. Anyway I hope to meet some good people on this site and have some fun with my new wheels this Summer.
