Apart from what you've mentioned, there are internal differences albeit slight, for the paddles and wiring, click spring is also different 9extra pins for paddles, (same as heat wheel), other than that its all the same

I've got an SMG paddle one wired into my E39 530i, it's cool in the twisties with paddles

Sis you do the hidden Sports Menu unlock trick too?

Wonder what the actual differences are with a regular Msport wheel, flappy paddles aside. Bottom tri-spoke trim looks to be bullet grey or something as opposed to black. Apart from that... 🤷‍♂️

They are very identical actually, Its the Paddles and Clock Spring mostly. Also, it may just be me, but the M3 feels slightly lighter than MSport.
    Clean dash BTW!

Keen to hear how you get along with this @Wade13, I’m thinking about going through the same for my e30. I heard that it has to be welded by someone who’s certified for it to be certifiable on your car. Unsure if that’s true or not though

As long as the welds look strong enough, an not like a rocky road chocolate show, the certified will sign off. That being said, certifiers often think it’s a plus to have the welding done by a qualified fabricator. We haven’t needed that yet.

I do like the look of the verts, but I'm set on a 2 door (hard top) - plus I'm bald so, harder to look cool in vert hahaha

Hahaha being bald makes you look that much better in a vert. Plus, it helps with aerodynamics.

but good luck with your hunt, hopefully something comes up

I would say given the e30 market anywhere between 10-15 k being a convertible and I assume it's a facelift being a 91? even if it is a 318i the right buyer will pay the right amount of money for it. Some pics would help brudda

Just added a few that I have handy
