I got hella to price them for me the other day, option of either silver or black backing, looking 1700 odd dollars (retail) for a pair plus gst, seafreight (3month with their stock order), easy as replacing your headlights.... would probably (depending if i got them through my new job or old work(old work gets hella cheaper)) be able to do around 25 percent off that..... will post a pic of them tomorrow at work if i can find the time

  4. Common rail is sweet, Exactly the same principal as efi..... it's proven in petrol efi cars 20 odd years ago. Alloy diesels I don't think would be a problem, they've got away with alloy heads on diesels for quite a while now...

I know, My van's turbo diesel and it's hard to go through town without a lady hanging off every possible foothold on it, lucky it's got all that torque to keep me moving, dire consequences could be had should I come to a halt..... maybe if i keep boosting hard instead of pimpin it then they won't be able to latch on, being a diesel I can't have a loosely tensioned blow off valve to ward them off,so speed is a must, but then they might follow me in a ford festiva hatch with "funtop" roof, and jump on the back, maybe if I attach a thornbush on the back they won't be able to do it, that's what I'll do, cool :thumb:

  13. I would so hit a e34 turbo diesel..... would rule with a KKKturbo running some more boost.... diesels rule. If i was buying a new bmw I would so buy that diesel cabby

    I am in the process of setting up a deal on some quaife units, new. need to know a couple of things.... Are the crown wheels on the diff head removeable on BMWs?? If not, what ratio would people be wanting?? I cant be arsed finding out for myself, alot of you will be abl to answer this off the top of your head Only people serious about obtaining one of these need reply...... cheers, Cam

  16. lol, dude if you can mig weld you can gas weld, Just don't have the flame too hot, those tips were thin as..... we just dropped the exhaust a little, and tacked them about 3/4 around their circumference, i would have migged them but I'm not that great at it, would've burnt holes..... be careful with your factory aluminised pipe too, can't see the "molten pool" under the coating until right before it burns a hole.... word
  17. I used the oxy-acetylene plant, gotta be careful to keep the heat from travelling down the tip much, otherwise they go blue lol

    have you checked to see that it has both spark, and fuel up to the injectors?

    thats down to the shape of the tank, top half of the tank (height wise) will have a smaller volumetric capacity to the bottom....
  22. check the compression, That'll determine whether or not you have a bent valve or something gay like that, don't go rushing into pulling the head off just yet...... It's not smoking, using water, or knocking?? breathing any heavier through the crankcase breather than normal??? wont be rocker arms in my opnion, I dont see how it could have hit anywhere near 8k just on the auto kickdown also could be something as tedious such as leads or a crook plug or something stupid like that, cracked dizzy cap, broken the tip off the distributor rotor maybe?(i dont know bmw engine distributors that well) worth a try

    Seatbelt lights: check the seat belt buckle female part, if theres no switch or wire to hook it to then no prob, may have been disconnected at some stage, not uncommon..... otherwise check the switch to see if it's faulty, or the light bulb Heat gauge: engine temp??? could be wiring or sender or gauge unit itself, check these all out, should be easy Auto Aerial for radio: wiring etc, or the motor could have died and some little gauge just on below the Speedo and tach that has some green lights a yellow and then red?? thats the service meter, as kilometres mount it should do something, if i'm correct???? i dunno lol
  24. foglights in daytime are sweet as as far as I'm concerned.... f**kers that have their headlights on high beam during the day is terrible, reckon at times it's worse than highbeams at night.... I think that they should be targeting people that have both their fogs and lowbeams on during the night, It's utterly dumb, lowbeams go further than fogs, so actively cancel out the fogs, just makes it brighter for oncoming traffic, f**ks me off.....
