  1. cheers good to be in contact with like minded people
  2. yeah i plan to do a kit and then respray whole car,im unsure of which kit to go for,as my housemate has a zender front i can get off him cheap . i thought of converting to 5 stud just to give myself a bigger range of wheel options.my has housemate works for bm workshop and has seen it done.
  3. people saying im not a time waster & im really keen, then asks a question or two a day until auction ends and still does not hit the buy now.asks about things not related to that auction and gets upset if you tell them to check my other listings.because they think your wasting their time.could go on for hours about time wasters....
  4. yeah they diffently look good on e30s,ive been on a few sites checking out pictures..
  5. advanti have a 17'' wheel called the "Flash" and i think ssa wheels have a wheel called the "forza" both are 25 et.pop into local tyre shop, most tyre shops can get these wheels.
  6. no worries im on the hunt for some nice wheels for my e30 too, tring for 17'' but i guess ill see how it goes
  7. hi blair i work in the tyre industry, the wheels you are going to buy wont rub on the outter part of your guards. as a +42 it will sit aprox a inch/inch & a half in and would more likely rub on the strut.17x7.5 are a good width wheel for e30s but you really need to have a +25 offset and even then unless your car is super low wont rub on the guards hope this helps
  8. hi stud pattern 4x100 offset from factory is et35,however if you want your wheel to fill out the guards a 20-30 offset is great.ive seen e30s with 38 or 42 offset and the wheels sits in about a 1.5''.my opinion looks wrong advanti has either a 16'' or 17'' wheel called the Flash with a 20 offset that is blank so they can be machined to suit e30.ive attached picture.be aware due to the wheels needing machining it usually takes a few days for the wheel engineer to do them depending on how his work load is. the correct size 16'' tyre is a 215/45/16 same as factory 195/65/14 the correct size 17'' tyre is a 215/40/17 which is the same rolling radius as the factory 195/65/14.however most people run a 205/40/17 to make the wheel look bigger im not sure what area your from .but if your in auckland i can help you (09 630 6996) if not go to your local tyre store and ask about the advanti flash,
  9. funny you should say that ive just seen 2nd hand ones of trade me.
  10. hi yes these are the look im tring to find or maybe a meshed wheel with dish,a bit like the m tech wheel. my house mates and i have been hunting on the net for wheels. the companies we have been working with specialise in whats hot right now and to be honest some are shocking.i dont want to say what wheels i think look shocking because everyone has their own style,i just think classic & simple is for me cheers
  11. thanks for the kinds words.i will have to put pictures up and will definitely keep a look out for wheels on here cheers
  12. hi mike yes i have looked at importing myself, ive checked our contacts, however i work or have worked for companies that specialise in whats the latest bling and sadly wheels for e30s are not top of the pops.the other funny thing is i had a set that were prefect a few months back that i was selling at the shop i was running, but at the time i didnt have the bmw. i tried to find one just to put the wheels on.i sold the wheels to a lovely young lady for her e30,then two weeks later the coupe i now own came up for sale thanks for the websites i will check them out
  13. hi new member but old hand at bmw ownership, ive had a few e30s over the years,im currently driving a e30 prefacelift 318 manual coupe.only mods so far are a set of king springs,on the hunt for a set of alloys that suit the age and style of the e30.on my other e30s ive had the latest styles but never looked right and most wheels are the wrong offset.my house mates also have a pre facelift e30 318 4 door with a full zender body kit ,lowered and on 17'' tsw alloys, looks really good.but he brought his wheels 10 years ago when importers were still bring in 20-30 offset 4 x100 wheels.i work in the wheel/tyre industry and im still finding it hard to find the prefect wheel.i hate the idea of putting wheel adapters on i think they are dodgey.does anyone know who imports 20-30 offset wheels, ive checked with all the main wheel importers but nothing nice or they look too japanese,im a bmw owner not a corolla owner..
