Worn contact on Solonoid. It does 2 jobs. Engages the gear (to crank the motherf**ker) and acts like a big SWITCH! that's where the contacts are. Does it do it mostly while it is HOT? but yes, whack it! That's good for things, except anything else in the engine bay. lol. So..... get a new solanoid. Get me one too cuz i am nice and pointed out the problem. If you wanna test. When it don't start. get a test lite. turn it over while holding test lite to the little wire going into the solanoid. if it lites up then its the solanoid contacts. Or so Says me. The lord said, behold the people, they piss me off, let us go down, stand amonst them, and whoop their stoopid arses. Its toward the back of the bible im told.

You have to have power, so unless you got turbo your going to lose in an E30.

If you ever have problems with german plates not getting a wof let me know and il print you a set of nz euro plate stickers to slap ontop of the german ones for the wof.

On another note, just in the last week my car has been getting hot (up to the 3/4 temp line), when I stop the car and go do a job and come back 20mins later it wont start, but then when you let it sit a further 10+mins with the bonnet up to cool it starts up sweet as. This happened three times and all when the car was hot, any other time it starts sweet as. Was wondering if there is a sensor that stops it from turning over if it thinks the engine is too hot??? Really random and frustrating!

Yeh thats me, Unfortunately Im having to park up at many towns I dont genrally approve of lately, I have gone to nearly every Dairy in South Auckland and East Auckland wraping the streets ice cream refridgerators in new promotional graphics. So next time you have an ice block or ice cream from streets, please admire the fridge you take it out of as I have slaved over it to asthetically please you!

If I applied the vinyl you wouldnt tell its vinyl but if you do it no guarantees, lol. It does take practise like anything, and the right tools.

Im not sure I would reccomend using satin black to wrap the grill, its not a cast vinyl (doesnt conform enough for such a massive curved application) though is fine for your other chrome areas which are flatter and only have to bend one way. I reccomend you use a Matte Black, or Gloss Black, then there are 2 brands (3M and Arlon) that make these cast blacks so all four are different shades/brightness in there own way. Your looking at $30+gst for 381mm x 500mm for this type of Vinyl.

Wrap it in Vinyl, its always reversable, you have heaps of black to choose from also.

I would reccomend getting 1M of 1220mm wide Satin Black. This way you can use full strips for along the top of the window surround. This size vinly is $60+gst

Yeh my car was in last year, If you get 4 people entering and desperately need a 5th I will jump in but I really dont want anything to do with the display side of things as it fully stressed me out, eveyone has there own ideas etc etc and then nothing goes together right. Wow thats some great insight into the shocks! Im going to trust Chris with Bilsteins, he knows his sh*t pretty well, he put them into my brothers rally car about 3yrs ago and they have had absolutely nooooooo problems with them, and trust me he isn't any nana driver hes continually battling first place. So if they can withstand that sort of driving for such a long period and still drive nice on targa rallies also Im pretty ok with him putting them into my car. But your experiences with Koni they sound pretty awsome too!

It is very easy to weld a sump!!! My brother cracks his quite often even with a protective plate! Just make sure you use good gasket glue when putting it back on or you will have major leakage probs, as I figured out the hard way! So yeh, we do all our own welding but it doesnt take much so im very positively sure it wont cost much!

well I think I might go buy an E46 M3 GTR Wide body, hahaha i wish! Maybe in 10 years when cars are extinct
