I havent seen top gear before so im glad i got to see that one, luckily i was in morrinsville at the time (they pick up prime, my auckland ariel doesnt). Speaking of being in morrinsville, anyone else taken there car into Scottsons Valley? Bloody awsome driving, was in there for an hour going nutts on the tarmac rally built roads! Must say its the first time ive had a wheel off the ground on a dwn hill tight left. Great experience you must try. :mosh:

Well im defnitly selling them for less then the import price (hence why ive decided to get them made in nz as nobody else is) To make the tool for the injected moulding machine is going to be alittle costly but if sales are good il pay that off and more to beable to get a tool made for the e36. Lets hope all goes to plan. Also i think there is somebody on this site that is importing silvatec bulbs, if that person sees this thread can you pm me some prices. Cheers.

I have spoken to a major company who is willing to mass produce clear (or smoked) front and side indicators for your E30. I am just wanting to know some feed back as to how many ppl are likely to purchase these items, if all goes well im considering getting E36 lights produced also. Cheers.

The ones that were brort into auckland were tiptronic with the gears on the steering wheel, tho it had a gear stick (like a manual car) this is for hig rev launches or low rev launches, you rev the engine to the point you want it then flick the manual knob back and it releases it at full or you flick it forward and traction control conects and brings the revs back before launching. Its crazy, there heaps of gear options, either drive it from the steering wheel or the manual (tiptronic) stick. I like it, but it would take a bit to get used to it. Shes got balls tho. :mosh:

Yeap and then they got taken to car haulaways to be distributed around nz and thats where i was allowed to jump into one of them and take it for a cruise around the big warehouse, the gear system is really weird but i think youd get used to it, they have got sh*t loads of horny power with so many accessories youd think you were sitting in a cockpit of an aeroplane!!Very nice comfortable ride, handles just perfectly, id buy one if i had the extra cash lying about.

oh my god, this whole process is getting very difficult, this place doesnt except credit cards from over seas!!!! so now i have to do a direct credit bank transfer which will cost me an extra $40!! thats if they except that method. This is frustrating me now.

I ordered through bm town last night clear front and sides and smoked tails and m3 style wing mirrors with clear indicators in them. They say itl be round 59pounds to frieght cos of the weight, does that sound right? that like nearly $150!! just to get them here!!! I think somebody should start there own bmw styling company here in nz!!! PLEASE

Ok, so i devised a plan, Tints (i can ripp them off if i dont like them after i guess) smoked rear lights, clear repeaters and front indicators, and the m-tec silver pinstripe. Im tempted by momo steerin wheel and foot pedals alson, m3 style wing mirrors with the indicators and door sills.... Holly sh*t im guna be broke... Next problem will it all get here in 4 1/2 weeks!!!! Did somebody say theyd lend me there smoked rears??? Anyone like to help me stick it all together? Dad says hes too busy with the rally car! this pic gave me a good visual.

Bonnet will probly be down as its all stock at the mo, its all shiny under there tho. My blacks have been looked after very well thro its lifetime so they are like new luckily.

My car is fully insured for $13500 and in the end it cost insurance $11000 to repair my car, and cost me $0. They were obvisly kicking themselves, the assessor didnt pick up on any engine, gearbox or drive shaft problems only panels and interior. In the accident all engine and gear box mounts broke and bent the driveshaft and f**ked all my passenger side suspension, nobody knew this until i tryed to drive it home! I could pull the gearbox up and down with the gear lever BY ABOUT 50MM!!!! In the end botany motor workx lyed to state and told them a few of my hoses burst by the fan cutting into them (which didnt happen) so i got new hoses all round too, lol so take the woman for all shes worth!!! Itl make you feel better. Sounds like your car better off then mine so you should be fine! :thumb:

Thanks alot but i think the m-tec one actually suites the m-tec 1 rear lip better, not so chunky against the smoothness of the rest of the car.

I thnk id rather clear then smoked repeaters/indicators and rear, anyone know whether i can get these from nz? And where? The stand will have 5-6 cars in it, im trying to keep the theme as simple as i can persuade them to, being g/s they probly wanna do something eye catching. Im still considering tinting and have been for some time now as i drive alot at night all over the damn country i like to beable to see clearly out all windows. Yeh got the euro plate, it a nz one.

So this year il be representing the euros in the girlspeed stand with my m325i, just asking for alittle help as i would love your votes if your attending. Just wanting to know what you guys think i should do to my car in the next 5 weeks to give her that finishing touch, shes going into the painters in a couple of weeks to get the paint touched up and then to the car groomers for a wax and all, but i need something else... Maybe keeping to a budget of say $700. Visual mods only... please help as nobody else active in g/s owns a bimmer. I only have 5WEEKS!!!

Just to give you a definate answer, i have done exactly what you are going to do tho i didnt change my shocks, now her ass bounces alittle over bumps and is especially bad doing fast cornering hitting bumps in the road, guna have to get me some new shocks, yey for me my brothers co driver owns his own shock shop. So as a definate answer, yes you do need new shocks.

Shes done a few miles and starting to smell burnt oil and alittle smoke when i rev her, plus im wanting to strengthen everything, and make it all new again. You never know what might be happening to the bimmer...
