US spec is 3.0L, 240hp, no individual TB's. It's an e36 330i with m3 suspension... To be fair, Cabs are always the mongrels and have extended production lives so it is possible that you have a 98 (assembled) 3.0L. However, I think thats pretty unlikely. Is it an anniversary edition? I know they produced those late. Or imported from the states? Ash

You have a 1998 3.0 M3? eh? If thats the case it must have been for the cab only or you are driving a US spec 'M3' which is different again. I was under the impression all M3's after about 96 were 3.2 'evo's' Ash

I'll see I can confirm the offsets, I'm such a noobie. But then again, I've only had the car for one night I'll get back to you about the mirrors, hopefully very soon. Ash
-
They are the original optional upgrade 16" BBS rims (found on the later version M3's and Evo's), so standard e30 M3 offset- ie should fit your set up perfectly. Mirrors- I dont think they are CF, but they weigh absolutely nothing- they are just a shell, no motors, all manual. Ash

Don't take anything m325i says seriously, he should come with a sarcasm warning...

Picked up the car last night, subsequenty spent the following 3 hours getting to know some of Perths quieter roads... Drives extremely well, very solid, revs hard to the limiter and sits like a rock at higher velocity...Passengers were slidding out of the leather seats though It's fair to say I love it A few other pics: Original optional 16" BBS rims - for sale Mirrors - for sale Mirrors and rims are for sale if anybody is interested. I fly out tomorrow, back home on Saturday and should have pics organised by mid next week. They are brand new, non-powered and I have no idea what they are worth. If you find a good price for them, I'll beat that and see if its worth while after shipping. Ash

Eh? you guys are retarded  n00bs It's NOT turbo - I know nothing about SA 2.7's but I think its fair to assume with 197hp its not turbo, and CiLK is just messing with you. Search: Alpina C2 2.7... A lot of potential for that engine...thats going to be one quick car.

You didnt know 2.7's ran 3lb of Rhonda V-Tec b00st?
-
Now that I've stopped drooling... Where is all the weight saved? All in the Al panels? How does it go with 270km on the clock? Ash
-
Finally! Brilliant find. I bet its quick too. Undoubtably quicker than my stocker. Do you have a linky link for the uneducated? (2.7 info...) Congrats mate Ash

Personally I like induction noise, owns exhaust. Judge for yourself: http://www.track24.de/videos/castrol%20200...ufang%20BMW.wmv When I get a CF airbox, Motec EMS, enlarged TB etc etc that induction noise will definitly have an effect on my driving style... Ash

Very clean and subtle. When are you putting on the M3 badges?

You could buy BMW Group if it was big enough. Its utterly rediculous how much money is involved. I'm working on an $11 Billion (captial investment required) Aus gas project at the moment (Gorgon for those that have heard of it). Basically, take the dollars involved in a big multinational company, then up them by an order of mangnitude. Chevrons revenue was something like $130 Billion USD last year, afaik, NZ's GDP is a little over $100 Billion NZD. Stupid. By the way, don't worry about buying an electric car just yet, the price of oil is going to descend to reasonable levels again. Some big projects are coming online in Russia and the Middle East are uping production. I'll take a punt and say $40-45 USD a barrel. Ash

Howdy, Just a qiuck note to spread the word that I'm looking for performance parts for the M3. As stuff like this is pretty rare in Australia I'd thought I'd let you know in case you guys knew of someone or a garage/race team that may be interested in offloading some parts. I'm looking for racing/semi racing components such as (but not limited to): CF airbox Evo valve springs Lightweight flywheel Break ducts Evo/Schrick cams plus many more items... All the usual M3 upgrades. Thanks for keeping your ear to the ground Ash
-
huh, shipping? Its already in NZ... Location: North Shore, Auckland Or did you mean something else? Ash

I wonder if he'd consider parting with those rims....

You don't see M1's up for sale often, let alone a Gruppe 4. I'd paypal someone a couple of bucks to help out Ash
