    Another colour poll!

Lachs for silver. I dont like the other silver tones that much. Maco (sp?) blue is hawt. Ash
  2. Excellent sunday drive. Smooth roads too.
  3. I'm of the opinion that the following BMWs should have M badges: All M3, M5, M6's plus: e28 M528i e28 M535i e30 M325i e34 M535i Possibly e36 M328i... The 'iS' and 'iC' desigations are significant enough to cover the remaining cars that are in some way different. It used to be that seeing an M badge instantly signified something special, not the case anymore. Ash

  5. Only over 100km/h.... Pretty even up until then (endless debate over this, but there isnt that much in it in a straight line, especially on the street) Ash

What distinguishes an E30 M3 Evolution I? The first Evolution model was created to homologate refinements to the E30 M3 designed to make it more competitive in its competition guise. The main mechanical alteration was a revised cylinder head, distinguishable by an "E" cast into it, though peak power remained unchanged from the standard M3 at 200 hp (DIN). The deeper front airdam, second trunk-mounted lip spoiler and 7.5x16-inch cross-spoke alloy wheels also debuted on this model. These cars also have the brake cooling ducts in place of foglights. The interior is believed to be the same as a normal E30 M3, with the exception of special door sill plates with the "M3" logo. Exterior and interior color and trim selection is also thought to be identical to that of the standard M3. A total of 505 were built in mid-1987, though there is no numbered dash plaque to denote the special series. From bmwmregistry. I'd hit it Gus. You could talk your way out of a ticket or two anyway. I hope someone in Auckland at least has the sense to check it out. Its completely filthy and still looks good. Love the colour. Ash

A lot of potential there. Damn, I'm tempted... 2 M3's.... Super rare if it checks out to be a genuine Evo. This is ridiculously cheap, I hope it goes to a good home. Not being registered wouldnt put me off driving it occasionally- if it was a second or third car. Also, don't think twice about LHD. Ash.
  9. Looks good. That colour would have to be my favourite after Lachs. Well worth the investment if you are going to keep it long term. Ash.

    New Car

Its original, no exterior modification. Could just be the contrast in the photo's.. These wheels will be staying on, and eventually cleaned/polished/clear coated. The original 16 inch rims I'll be selling as I doubt I will track this car (so I say now...). I agree with you hybrid, maybe in the future I'll grab a set of LM's Ash

    Digital SLR

I bought a Nikon D50 on Friday. This and the Cannon 350 are brilliant entry level digital SLR's and both come highly recommended. www.pdreview.com for all your digital camera needs. What do you mean by this? You shouldnt be able to see anything through the LCD as all focusing is done throught the eye piece (its an SLR after all) - or is your Fuji a pseudo SLR?My D50 takes less than a second to start up. D50 and 350 can be purchased for less than 2k with everything- 1gig card, case, optional lens (reasonable quality 70-300) and possibly tripod (essential) if you shop around (althought the 350 is probably about $200 more) The D50 at 6.1megpix will do an A0 (with slight quality lose) which is huge. The 350 will do it no problem at 8 megapix. Remember- its all in the lens. I would consider these two cameras more than adequate for most enthusiasts- nothing serious (like the D70, or pro like the ES) but still high end cameras. Ash
