  1. I have run 13.02 on goodyear eagle f1 street tyres, and 12.981 on kumho ecsta R comps, car is lighter now than last trip to drags, after new chip goes in, I will have to give it another run I think it was a VL commodore turbo, he stuufed the start, heaps of wheelspin, then missed a gear..

  5. on an E36 M3, replace the crank pulley with an E46 M3 pulley, cheap and underdrives all accessories

  8. almost...they are the motors used for our E30 race series, and are rediculously expensive here, it is cheaper to bring one in from there than buy localy

  15. E46 M3 crank pulley is direct bolt on, and underdrives everything, US spec pullies do not fit. I also have 3.64 diff in mine, and ACS short shifter airbox came from US ebay and was a lot cheaper than quoted above, but only made small hp gain from it over raid maxflow enclosed pod with standard plenum, but looks and sounds great, and is ~ 4kg lighter
  16. mine started with 170rwkw stock except high flow metal cats, then with alloy flywheel, free flowing muffler, 8000 rpm alpha n chip, and carbon plenum got me to 200rwkw on dyno dynamics, aftermarket cams would net more as well the M3R was the most powerful production M3, it is 3 litre rated at 240kw...

  21. was told directly by a dealer principle that dealers carry consumables for current range and one model previous, they then use whatever is closest for older models... UK dealers have now started advising 40 grade after numerous vanos failures
  22. I use Royal purple 10W-40, any group 4 or 5 pure Ester based synthetic with second number 40 is fine, TWS 10W-60 is definitely NOT suitable for E36 M3, it is too thick for vanos passages and will lead to premature failure, it is only suitable for E46 and later M3's
  23. have whoever does it cut some steel plates to lay across the spider gears, then weld it all up, just welding the teeth together won't last too long... here is one I prepared earlier-
  24. exactly, and with light spring, it opens and closes progressively, so you don't end up with light switch type response at part throttle
