the cars that come stock with these sump guards actually have threaded rod welded to the chassis rail for the side mounting points. To fit these to other models you may need to drill the chassis and fit threaded rivets in so you can bolt it on. Cant remember the real name for the threaded rivets at the moment tho. south african models may have the mounting points already there ? (for the metal sump guards)

The workshop im in now is my fathers old "Takanini Motorcycle Wreckers" I wouldnt be surprised if you have met him in the past if you were involved with motorbikes he was in the game for about 15 years "Henry" But yes issue this time is they are most likely the type to start sh** . If it were to go to court they will have no case as ive clearly outlined that there is no warranty if they dont have a qualified professional install it. They admitted that a non qualified person installed the box and they have no receipts so im just letting it settle for now hopefully it ends at that. Ive had a think and have decided to get into selling European cars and start importing again. Will keep wrecking but at a lower level, mainly just to continue supplying the race series.

They have the BBS logo in center. Im Pretty sure there only two piece but could be wrong. looks like they only separate where the obvious bolts are but ive never have the tyres of these if that makes any difference.

Ive got a set of 3 15"x 6.5 genuine bbs rims to suit e30 BMW has anyone got a single or even want these 3? Not sure what type they are I have done zero research but they are a two piece rim Im more interested in bigger rims for e30s personally Anyone know what these are or want them? Image shows the worst rim.

On the receipt I wrote "Have advised customer that if not installed by Synthe ltd or a Qualified mechanic then there will be no guarantees" Actually went as far as to say if you aren't happy with this then dont take this box. Writing this is and saying this not enough for some people though and the money the box is worth is nothing compared to the workshop they can throw bricks etc at. The last year with the recession it was hard to sell new parts which is what I prefer to do and it was very easy to get wrecks and to sell used parts. I think now I will go back to Importing, 100% mail order and my profession Electrical engineering. Bmw wrecking isnt all bad i just want Cars to be a hobby again. Theres still 2 full shipping containers of parts if anyone wants any or all of it, I just wont be buying anymore stock.

not an e30 but close..

Il'd love to but these people have less to loose than me and ild rather not have wanna be thugs hanging around I always offer a guarantee when Ive installed the box myself and its not expensive either compared to alot of other places. But these people have installed the boxes themselves and dont understand about flushing the cooling systems and replacing torque so they go and run the old gearboxes contaminated oil strait into the good gearbox and next thing you know it your fault and they want the refund and the abusive phone calls start. The money and refunds dont bother me so much its just no fun dealing with these people and there crap backyard mechanics.

So im starting to really get sick of this second hand parts stuff, No one can seem to install an Automatic gearbox successfully and then come back for a cry when it doesnt go.. Why is it so hard to do? Ive never seemed to have a problem but ive have 4 people come back now with broken auto gearboxes! one time they managed to snap the pump shaft. another time they managed to damage the seal for the torque and didnt even test drive it before giving the car back to the customer to by the time they were home all the oil had leaked out.. This time they have managed to get a 4hp-22 to only work in 4th gear (e34 m20 bmw) Its really starting to piss me off.. I mean the gearbox that has screwed up this time was in another bmw DRIVING PERFECT 2 days before being removed and was in the new owners hands within a day and supposedly fitted 2 days later. I had a bad feeling about the two rugged buyers from the start so I told them No warranty unless installed by me or a Qualified mechanic, also wrote this on the receipt and still have them ringing me back bitching and moaning. I could fight it but I have more to loose than these tards.. The person that brought the box had an "ex mechanic" mate install it for them. I bet they reused the old torque .. but how do i prove that. was considering selling up but Ive managed to find my marbles
