Any alternatives to AA mechanical warranty?
normsmith replied to normsmith's topic in General Discussion
Ok, cool. Just spoke to Protecta and they offer a 3 year warranty with an access of $395 for $1200. Much more reasonable. -

Access is $500, so yeah $2k for 3 years with $500 access. :-( -
Any alternatives to AA mechanical warranty?

Hi, I just rang Autosure and they said they don't deal with the public. Just through dealers. :-( -
My car's manufacturer's warranty has expired and I'm looking at getting some extended warranty. AA is charging 2k for 3 years plus a $140 inspection fee. Any alternatives? Thanks

Hi, I'm thinking about getting new alloys and tyres for my E90 and selling my factory 16" alloys and tyres on trade me. My existing tyres are in very good condition (as checked out by Frank Allens tyres). Any ideas how much I could get for them? Cheers Norm

Hi, I am really struggling to find seat covers that will fit my E90. Any suggestions? Thanks Norm

Ah crap. My windscreen washers have stopped working on my E90. When you pull the control to activate them it makes the noise like where it is trying to pump the water out of the jets but only a small trickle (barely enough to hit the screen) comes out. This is happening for both nozzles. Initially I thought it was out of water but I topped up the reservoir to the max but it still didn't fix the problem. Any ideas? Oh, a happy new year to all.

Hey Apex, change the lights on your avatar to a red colour and it will look like The Terminator's head!

Hi, This is a bit off topic but I am struggling to find the top speed of the 2008 FPV. The only result I've got via google is 250 km/h electronically limited. Well that's no good to me cos I want to know what that sucker can achieve if it wasn't electronically limited. Of course I wouldn't be caught dead in an FPV. Why? Cos it's a Ford and not a Bimmer ... oh and it's butt ugly! :-) Cheers Norm

E90 factory stereo only picks up certain cds with MP3s

Hi, they are definitely being burnt as mp3s. The CD holds well over a hundred tracks. Thanks. -

Yes, I am burning a data cd and not an audio cd. A friend of mine had a similar problem when trying to play audio cds burnt on his computer. He solved the problem by burning them at 1x speed. It took ages but it worked. I'll give it a crack burning at lower speeds and see what happens. Thanks -
I can't find seat covers to fit an E90 seat! :-(
normsmith replied to normsmith's topic in General Discussion
Damn, that looks nice man. I'd settle for that. Get your front and back seats done for about a grand. :-) Pity they're not located in NZ. It's the type of thing you want to try before you buy. -
Hi, I've tried a number of different seat covers for the seats of my E90 but I can't find anything that remotely comes close to fitting it. Anyone got any ideas where I can get decent seat covers that 1) look good and 2) fit the E90 seat perfectly? I investigated the option of having the seats covered in leather but that's a bit too costly ($2500+). Thanks Norm

Fair point. I am just scouting around for a deal.

I wouldn't say they're small. It is an international company.

Ouch.
