It already does. The latest F80 prototype videos are sporting a V6. Some said BMW M would never go turbo - but here we are ....using *never* is just so dangerous these days...

Yet the latest F80 M3 mule video'ed this week (search google) was a turbo'ed V6 - so still up in the air....pretty sure the V8 is gone. Sad sad sad.

Wow. If the next-gen M3 goes back to a 6cyl - then it might have to be an M5 for me....

They put on a Remus quad which was almost a bolt on, but had a bit of custom work. Nice work.

Another recommendation for Woolf - they put a quad system on my 335i when it was only 4 days old!!

Mountain biking at least twice a week - during summer 3 times a week (Wednesday evening rides) Not into jumping or riding structures - just as fast as possible natural terrain riding. (Having done 20 years of moto-x I'm not interested is jumping a bicycle a few feet in the air..) Bloody good fun and you keep fit!

Maybe. The greatest M5 of all time had the V10 as we know, you cannot compare the lazy V8 of the e39 with that v10 on any scale, but that is progress. If the M3 or M5 have any sort of turbo lag, I might have to start looking at another brand...which I don't want to do, but there is nothing worse than lag... The e46 CSL i6 was a keeper, that was a brilliant bit of kit. Other than that, I'd stick with the e90 V8... Interesting times ahead (hopefully not laggy times like the 1M...)

....or, less tech and a high revving normally aspirated V8?? Oh..... ;-)

I hope the next M3 has better engine than the current 1M engine...that was the only weak point of the package (It's still hawt - but the chassis outclassed the powerplant - which was just too laggy)

i got pulled over by a cop when i rolled up to a stop sign, rolled back slightly before taking off. He pulled me over and said I didn't come to a complete stop. We agreed that I rolled backward slightly, but he insisted that I didn't come to a complete stop. I managed to convince him that rolling back means that a complete stop did occur. He let me off with a warning...what a muppet - basic physics!

Yeah, ip block you belong to gets an extra priority in their tracking systems, so not account. They put a nice text sig into your logs which let's you know you have been locked and loaded into their system. It's very clear!

Correct. You are right. Read what I put. Nothing about ISPs - they will just hand over the lock in time/ip/userID records to the people who demand it. As soon as your blocks make it onto a machine which is there serving up the movie (looks just like you - but is owned by the evidence collectors. These are pretty smart companies who gather IPs from block sharers). They then do a reverse lookup on your ip (and traverse any proxies) until they get the ISP who issued the IP for that point in time. They then submit this for verification to the ISP. They are quite on to it - so don't underestimate the techniques and tools that the overseas companies have - nothing to do with the ISP in NZ. As I said, I have had a honeypot running for a few months - and the overseas evidence collector companies latch onto your router address in about 20-40 minutes after you start on a torrent. These are NOT NZ companies - these are very well established overseas companies who are employed by the media companies to get IPs who are downloading their movies. This new law gives THEM power to demand further evidence from the ISPs - and then they can come after you. Good times - get a VPN.

You will be tracked really really quickly. I've got an apache honeypot running - and the speed in which the evidence collection sites touch your router is really fast. Really fast. What people are banking on here is that the "system" will be slow and cumbersome and "I won't get caught". Once you get the first warning, I can assure you that your account will have extra surveillance put onto it and any touch of a torrent will be reported faster than anyone else. Its all setup and ready to fire. Even on a private tracker - you only need a person to seed the torrent to public users and your IP will be included in the pool. It does happen. Really interesting if you do setup a honeypot and then you will see how quickly those evidence collectors hit you - it is amazing!

It is sweet and you get about 200k/sec, and they don't care about torrents. And you are in Sweden. You even get Swedish google if you go to google.com in you browser while connected.

I owned a 335i for 3 years - that had a (chipped) N54. It was great for a fast car - but having driven the M3 engine - no comparison!! (I know they can be about the same performance in a drag race - but on a track or driving hard - I'll take the S65 any day) The tri-turbo talk seems to be covering off the issues I have with the N54 which is cool. I think I'll keep this M3 and add the new one to the list of cars when it comes out. Yes, I've got the e90 M3 - all good fun. I'm on the north shore in Auckland - what are you driving? The 1M?

That's a good thing because the only thing I would change about the 1M is the engine. It is fast - I noted that, but it isn't responsive compared to the rest of the car. The chassis and brakes certainly mean business and are really really sharp - the engine just doesn't *quite* cut it in such an awesome set of running gear. But hey - I enjoyed my time in it - so I guess that if you leave a car with a grin it can't be all bad... I hope the next gen M3 doesn't have the N54 or N55 - that would be a mistake in my book... some new tech is required.

Ha! brilliant! I know guys who have those C63AMG thingies and they get around 12000-15000 out of a set of rears - and that is just driving *fairly* normally. Those things chew rubber... I'm figuring that the PSS really does have a longer life than the PS2 according to some guys on m3post.

Puke is one big straight really, I don't think it's too hard on rears compared to other tracks. Alignment is spot on, foot is heavy. I used to get around 25000kms for the rears on my 335i, so it must be my driving. Oh well, good fun.

I managed to get approx 18000kms from the PS2 rears. Their load rating was 93Y. The PSS I have now are rated 100Y

Alright, I may not have the exact answers for you - but here is what I have found so far.. Car has 245/35 19s PS2 Front and 275/35 19s PSS Rear. Front and Rears are brand new. The PS2 was sooo good on the front that I didn't want to move away from it. And because the PS2 didn't last too long on the rear - I wanted something better. So this is about the PSS on the rear. The PSS is very quiet - with windows up going down the Auckland northern motorway at 100kmh - virtually no sound at all. So a little bit better than the PS2 which always had a slight rumble. Grip in the dry seems the same as the PS2 - couldn't really find a difference there, they both hang on madly. So impressive. Even just before the limit, they were very predictable and stable. Grip in the wet is better than the PS2 - you will actually notice this. Some roundabouts in the wet this morning were awesome. No sliding or even the feeling of letting go - even at near dry approach speeds. Nice and safe. So that was day 1 - so far, so good - and a good choice! Lets just see if they live up to the much hyped "longer life" than the PS2...
