Nice info. Note here that the M44 is roughly the same HP, if not even, with the 2.0 six cylinder. Take into consideration the Power to weight ratios, they are not to shabby. I got one, and am fairly happy with it. Got a few motor mods I'm doing soon thou. So explains why they are faster to 100 that the six. Not bad for a "round town" car ( as advertised ) :thumb:

According to BMW TIS, check the following: Exhaust system back pressure.... u mentioned a new rear muffler? Check fuel pressure For a E36 withauto tranny and a M50 motor.

Got mine installed NO problems at all. I think thet key is to install the sysadmin Tool part first ( on the EPC disc.) Then from in there, install each the ETK ( actually under EPC on tool bar ) and TIS from the tool bar within the sysadmin tool. I installed the TIS onto hard drive... mistake cos it took 1.5 hours to load !!..phew.

Dude - that is one VERY nice car.... I'm a bit annoyed at myself at buying the Twin Cam 1900 318is... still packs sum grunt, but moving from a nice big throaty six to the 318is was VERY noticable power wise. My next will be a six, so u better weld on that fine looking rear muffler

Just my opinion, but the lack of door strips, at a glance, makes it look "nissan-ish" Like all new things, it will look different till you adjust to it.

The clips from BMW are about $2.16 each...cheap as chips and it will fit alot better/nicer. ( had mine replaced last service )..mind u, you might need TWO clips 'per clip"...... outter and inner me thinks
