  1. Anywho, im looking at spacing my Alpinas that are now ET25 with a 15mm spacer, would this make it ET10? Question is How far over the guard will the wheels sit ?? looking at running 205/40/17s aswell.

I was on a website a while back where you could pick your wheel size, tyre size and offset and it would have a range of photos of e30's that have that combo- think it was more for stretching tyres can anyone link me to that.

Yess i do want that mint wide wheels look.

    Any advice ? thanks

    Yo dude,

+10? Not much and remember that camber also plays a huge factor.

Rule of thumb for agressive stance on E30's. 0 at the front -10 at the back. I'm pretty sure R3V or E30Tech have a wheel fitment thread you can check out too.

  2. IMO I would endevour to keep it. Swap the line fittings for AN, get longer lines and mount it above the intercooler. Or do what most people do when installing aftermarket ones, make a few brackets and mount it behind one of the brake ducts.

Best way to do stuff like this is to make it out of cardboard and mock it up before commiting to anything.

But as mentioned before, personally I'd try and keep it.

  3. I had the 1166's in my old Nissan and daily drove it for about 8 months.

Pad's worked fine when cold and AMAZING when hot. Mind you I was using them on 4pots.

Got mine from Racebrakes along with some braided lines, but you could probably find them overseas for cheaper?

From memory it was around $400?

/edit - Can't compare to the 1144's as I've never used them sorry.

  4. Bit to wide for my liking. But I like the wheels. Could maybe break up the mass of red with the BMW roundel on the bonnet which is missing.

Word bro, I thought the exact same thing.

Red's too much for me personally. Prefer it white with silver centers.

Jesus f**k! Did any of you see the abortion that is the rear arch and guard?

    Kill it with fire

    Haha..

  5. As P-Jay said more or less it’s a fashion statement and reminds me a lot of the funny fashion campaign in Zoolandar, derelict, where people were spending a lot of money trying to look homeless.

    Thats it. Petrol fight!

Poll doesn’t make sense to me though.

How are you supposed to see the relationship between yes or no with age?

Or am I doing this reading thing wrong?

  6. Hey guys, reluctantly parting my project out. Have had a few offers that I cant pass up and am gutted because as I was so close to getting it all done. Oh well, will get another E30 when I'm back homeside.

Off to the States and Japan on the 11th of June so needs to be gone before then, or it's going into storage. Wont be going onto TM as I dont have the time to really manage it.

Everything has super low km's as the project has collected more dust than it has seen daylight.

    E30 bits:

1x Genuine IS Lip. Primered. Need's paint, minor chips - $180 SOLD

4x 16x8 Silver Alpina replicas +12 offset. Includes 2x 10mm spacers & 2x 8mm spacers and long studs. Front tires wrapped in Toyo T1R Rubber. Rear's will need new tires, although ill include the rubber currently on them. Mint condition, one minor stone chip out of 4 wheels. - $1000 - SOLD

Not fussed if I cant move it. Will eventually sort it out when I get internet connectivity later on. Open to offers, more likely to cut deals if you buy more than one thing.

    Cheers,

  7. Here's the breakdown on my personal take:

Honestly I think it’s too dark for a parts sale website, I’m not sure the grunge theme is what I would have gone for. Also there are 3 different blues used.

    - I'm a big fan of simplicity and continuity in websites so I'd either change the gradient banner to colour match the navigation buttons or vice-versa. Ditto with the "view more" buttons.

No e-commerce (not sure if this is in the pipeline).

    - Potential a cross sell for your customer, heaps of advantages, fairly easy to implement.

    Difficult to find contact details.

    - Enough said, these should be EVERYWHERE

Car on the banner looks like it’s been poorly cut out.

    - Sharpen up and soften where applicable.

It looks like you've used the same font for a bunch of your websites (including your own?)

    - As you know Font packs are super cheap and there’s heaps of free ones available online. Be sure to keep things fresh!

    Site credits too big

    - Credits too big and detracts from the links and products at the bottom.

On the pro side I’m a big fan of top sellers you've added and the fact you can drill down via the cars model, so good work on that! And provided it’s easy to manage for your customer it looks like you are on the right track to a winner, just a few niggles IMO.

  8. I'm a big fan of FM3

And I hate "drift" modes in other games.

This might just be me but I don’t get it.. If it’s a driving simulator why does it need different modes?

Only complaint with Forza 3 is when you’re using the Xbox steering wheel. Lame 270 degree turning, no clutch pedal, blah. MS need to take a page (or several) from the G25.
