Hey guys and girls, I've done a few mod's to the car now that I've owned it a few months. Clear indicators, tints, lowered *it will be a little higher in the rear for normal driving* I have some M Spec skirts primed in the garage, I'd like M3 style tail lights and a bit of a stereo install for cruising pleasure. Please feel free to leave any comments and/or suggestions. Ryan

The older S4 is Twin Turbo 2.7 V6 - they haul ass. I want to buy mum a blow off valve for Christmas just for shits and giggles :thumb: The RS4 has bigger turbos, more boost and is lower, and has a much wider body and kit on it. Recaro interior and flasher stereo - it should do when you pay $160K.

Very nice ride, love that colour.

If it's an E36 don't leave the problem!! In my car the viscous coupling came loose, the fan hit the back of the radiator tearing it open and needless to see, it got expensive buying a new radiator.

I work with the sort of 3rd Misfit that is in their first 2 vids. Pretty good album on the whole. I enjoy MmmmHmmm and track 11 Trail Blazers I think it's called.

One has just died due to old age and the spring doesn't click anymore. The second has melted inside due to a drink of Sprite. Cheers for the help guys. Will try mosens.

G'day guys. I'm after 2 E36 window switches. I need them ASAP cos I can't wind down my windows at all. If you know of anywhere else that would sell them please let me know.

Use UPS. Better coverage around the world, 90 years of experience - free plug for work.

My mum drives a bright yellow S4 Avant - it hauls ass. Her friend has a black RS4 and it hauls even more ass!! I'd love to get my hands on an RS6 :mosh: Very very nice cars are the Audi wagons. I've been with mum driving at 200+ in 4th gear, I started to sh*t myself *and we were running out of road* so she pulled back.

I saw one of these lastnight on Nelson Street in Auckland. My mate didn't know why I was getting so excited. Such a beautiful car. My boss at work has just got a nice new 645i and I've really started liking the older 635csi's.

Well it sounded like an easy job, but nothing is ever simple when it comes to cars. The rear springs were a 5 minute job... I got the front struts out, put them in and then noticed there was nowhere to attach the sway bar to. The standards have a bit where the sway bar attaches to, however the Koni's don't - anyone had the same problem? Mine is a 91 E36 320i 4dr.

I'm in the same boat, I've said I'm saving for my house deposit. Once I've got this I'm down the road according to dad.My argument is always, but how much did you spend on your race cars? Now he just plays with mums S4 Wagon. I'm lowering my car tonight... Doing it at a mates house so I can drive home in the dark, dad can see it tomorrow morning and I'll be like "Oh f**k, somebodies stolen my standard suspension and put in Koni's, bastards!?!?!"

Mine looks like the pic I attached but only has the 1000,100,10,1 keys, SET/RES, CHECK, TIME, DATE. I know what the check button does but what are they number and SET/RES keys for?
-
Hi Guys, I know how to work the check light button for when something comes up. But what do you all the other buttons do on it?
-
Welcome aboard Paul, what are you doing on here? That is one super sexy car.

Are you sure you have a 5 speed auto for a '91 model 320? Yeah I'm sure. I've counted it changing and on the shift it's got 2, 3, 4, D. It's a really nice box, really cruisey. Great for in traffic which was the main reason I didn't mind getting an auto.
-
5 spd auto I said I'd never own an auto but it's a nice big 6 cylinder cruiser. I sit in a lot of traffic to and from work so it's nice for drving then and during the weekend I can wave to all the ladies

Bavarian Money Waster B.M. Trouble-you Lets just say I'm not having the best start to my Beamer owning days but I love the car - and so do the ladies.

Nice clean ride. With the increasing number of new Auckland members isn't it time we had a meet/get together/photo shoot?

Cheers for that pommy. I knew about the snowflake, but the mirror button makes sense, I actually wished the car had one of them Mechanic still doesn't know what caused the fan to shatter (twice) I now have a new radiator and new fan *mk3* and am hoping it's not going to pop the radiator hose off again. It only happens at high revs when I really step on it so I'm rather aprehensive at testing out the work that's just been done. Has anyone had an experience like this?
-
Yeah I was thinking that. I was told to buy a bag of clips from BMW. Now that I have the skirts I'm thinking some strong double sided tape along the top and screw it from below and on the sides of the wheel arches.
-
I just bought these skirts and am picking them up after dinner. Question being - how they attach to the car?

Check your water pump too. It may have been this that caused it.Either way, when replacing the fan, replace the water pump. Early e36's come with pumps with plastic impellers and they're prone to disintegrating... Well unfortunately I didn't listen to M3AN and I replaced the fan belt and tentioner, plus found a new fan. That lasted 2 days until BANG!! It happened again, this time it pulled the hose off the resevoir bottle and I was left at Mobil Quay Street for quite some time removing the fan, filling up the water and limping it to my workshop. :banghead: So pissed off with myself/my car.Still love the car but haven't had a lot of use out of it.
-
Hey M3AN I saw you in Newmarket on Saturday, very sexy car you've got yourself. Had my mechanic mate over tonight and he's checked the waterpump, we're not going to do it at the moment but it's on the to do list. Thanks for your help guys. New belt $60, tentioner $175, fan $65... Ahh fun times. Just delays lowering, tinting and sounds another week....
-
Well an interesting thing happened tonight - my fan shattered!! Talk about random. It's been making a little squeak recently when starting it up and tonight BANG instantly when I started it up. Mechanic mate said tentioner is too loose and it needs a new belt, and obviously a new fan - anyone had a similar experience?
