Alright, so I've found by checking the number printed on the box that the person who converted this car to manual decided to use a Getrag 225. I won't be rebuilding this and I'm either going to be an idiot and spend $3800 on a brand new unused Getrag 250, or buy a ZF 320Z box. I just need to know if there will be any other parts needed to get this box to fit, or if it should just bolt straight up?

I wanted to rebuilt cause the amount of labour involved in swapping a box & the cost of the box itself is quite high, and knowing my luck after a month the box will stuff up. It's a manual coversion car.

Hey guys, Has anybody been through the process of having their trans rebuilt? I have some pretty annoying issues with 3rd to 2nd transfer in my transmission as well as an oil leak, and wondering if anybody can recommend a good shop to do transmission repairs and if you have any ballpark idea of what cost I should be looking at, that'd be great.

I currently have angel eyes which are white, and regular bulbs which are the standard off-white/yellowish colour and it doesn't really suit.

Hey, Would the trans be a direct replacement for a 323i M52 engine? Does it come with a clutch just the trans? Any crunching in the box at all? Thanks

Ugh what kind of idiot does that? Might be cheaper just to find a couple of doors from a wreck and do a home touch up on the part after the body. Any pictures? have you been to the cops? any idea who it might be? sounds kinda personal.

How can you blame them for supplying poor quality speakers? Did your friend ask for something different? If you're just using them to purchase speakers they are fine to deal with & good value.

Took them maybe 2 hours and the paint held up very nicely it was as close as you could get to a repaint without actually spending a pile of cash. I wouldn't use Auckland Paint & Panel again, they are in town near the Vic park markets. Paid $450 to have a front bumper sprayed, was OEM and Urethene, which should be pretty easy.. no prep work required. Timeframe was great, done the same day I dropped it in. They even wired up my brand new smoked indicators for me (was on my 300ZX), though they severely damaged them by cutting and grinding them to fit in to place instead of soldering the contacts together... a few weeks later the paint started warping at the edges and flaking off. They didn't care.
