  1. My getrag from a 318iS is also reasonably stiff to change. Not to the point of forcing it into gear, but you can feel it click into gear. Looking around the webs, seems its reasonably normal, as long as it isnt crunching or popping out.

Make sure its running the correct fluid as when i get the box first fitted it had been filled with MTF when its specced as ATF, it was a real pain to shift until the fluid got changed over. Also be an idea to bleed the clutch.

Do 318iS's have the clutch delay valve like M3s?

  2. Its been converted to manual, with lightened single mass flywheel

    81,000k on the clock ATM

    2.5L straight six

Half leather completely black interior (to rips or major stains, just the odd small mark)

    Motorsport kit and suspension

Runs great, uses no oil or coolant, never smokes, etc etc

Regularly serviced, ive just done plugs, oil, filter, and shifter bushings.

    Sunroof

All factory BMW parts used. They claimed the conversion had 90,000k on it, but i dont have anything to prove that claim.

The shifter bushes and oil seal that i just changed were all BMW gear from Pelicanparts.com

Just had two new front lower control arms, ball joints and nolathane bushes fitted. Also had wheel alignment done afterwards.

    Heres my trademe listing http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=427239947

  3. Theres a couple of ways to reinstall safari, but sounds like you may have fixed it anyway. Worst comes to worst, change to Chrome :P

FYI, i use multiple Macs daily, and service macs for a living... Adobe aint an issue (other than flash not coming pre-installed on new macs, but its a free download).

  4. Been ripping the shifter stuff out of my E36 (with getrag) so i can change the shifter bushes (which didnt appear to even exist). Im at the point where i need to remove the oil seal on the selector shaft. I have tried screw drivers, picks, everything really and it will not come out. The gearbox is still in the car and im reluctant to remove it.

The seal is well and truly busted up now, and would piss all the box oil out if i tried to drive it. Im in urgent need of some advice on how to remove this stuck seal!

    Any ideas?

  5. The last thing i priced up at a dealer shocked me at how reasonable it was.... i just find it a pain having to call them to check availability then having to sort out picking it up. Rather buy online (where itll tell me availability) and get it shipped to work. Damn technology has made me lazy!

  6. As per title, im after a 328i twin pipe exhaust (or an aftermarket system) to replace my single pipe 323i coupe one. Needs to be from the headers back (not including the headers/manifolds themselves). Must be in usable condition, dont care if the cats are stuffed, will be removing them anyway.

Im in wellington and would prefer local as i imagine shipping being a pain for a large item like this. Will consider getting it shipped depending on cost.

    Anyone got one?

  7. Went past a VERY unhappy looking Silver E36 coupe on ACS wheels that had been involved in a pretty bad accident just north of Temuka. Looks like it clipped the back of a bus and went into a field. Easily a write off, but appears the occupants got out ok (doors still opened).

Hope its no one from here, and hope theyre alright.
