Iron Horses are the sh*t Nick, nice work, I don't have the gonads to ride downhill/freeride give me endurance racing anyday.

Is it just my memory or was there someone talking about defective subframes on e46's on here a while back? Maybe it was about people lowering e46's and how the rear subframe is very weak?, interesting points made though.

^ I'll see you on the start line at Taupo

PM Hartage on here, he has one (a m44 not the gearbox) sitting in his garage that I know he wants to get rid of He tried to get me to buy it to put in my e30. Think he wanted about 1k with loom, ecu etc It's here in Wellington if you don't find one any closer.

Also sorry to hear that Emily. I have heard of a few similar cases lately of just stupid wilful damage rather than stealing etc. One of my mates car was parked at the train station. She came back to find the car, all it's windows smashed, the headunit removed, and every panel damaged and dented after they threw rocks at it. They even left their cans of coke inside the car so they must be little teens/sh*ts. Makes you wonder why they just didn't steal the car and instead left a potentially worthless car just sitting there damaged, just out to have a laugh I guess. Hope you get it sorted

^ Mad yo. Chur. One less thing to worry about when owning a e30 like playing russian roulette come warrant time
-
^ Um oh it's called riding up clay hills at the end of the hardest race in the southern hemisphere, exhausted after 4 hours of hell haha, I threw a link up of the race in one of my previous posts, one of the most ruthless races ever. Would recommend it to any MTB lovers, but yes your advice is taken

^ Clips are so much win, both my bikes crank em, makes you sooo much more efficent. Execpt when riding a mtb up a ludicrous gradient, wind catches you and you fall off still connected to the bike
-
^ Lol, nice description. Those rears are def wofable ay? Had a thought the other day whether I ever checked.

^ Man that looks sooooo hawt

^ Im no pro. A few cars on e30tech.com have them, unsure of offset etc, but im sure its the same kinda deal. From what I gather its 318ti rear end subframe and trailing arms and e30 m3 front struts? Don't quote me though. And I don't think it needs to be certed. (Insert someone with more knowledge than me). But I say, since they are rare as rocking horse sh*t wheels and I'm def sure it's possible, hold onto them and give it a go when finances/time suits.

Why not keep these if you ever want to 5 stud swap the M325i you may buy? I wouldn't see the point in just about selling/throwing them away. Have seen a few e30's on them and they look awesome. Just me 2c/throwing it out there.

Im keen for some bike cruise action. Edited my other post. Rolled the other beast out/dug out some schnaps.

^ Just pedal feel, keeping it firm on the track. Don't have any personal experience yet cause there is no fluid in there atm and car is chilling on the jacks as usual . And thanks James.

Since I should be writing uni assignments due tomorrow and am a pro at procrastination I thought I would add a small update with some pics. Have modded a last couple things to tighten up the important bits of the car (brakes and suspension) and then essentially everything is modified in that respect up enough to handle the m50/m52 swap I want to do in the summer holidays - Fatter Front Sway Bar (325i) with new Nolathane bushes. Thanks Ian (Hartage) and BNT respectively. - New Braided Front Brake Hoses in Hawt Red. Thanks Mossrax in Wellington, $120 for the pair. - Brand new Rear Sway Bar (325i) with new Nolathane Bushes. Trade me - $33 shipped = mega win bargain of the century. - New Braided Rear Brake Hoses in Clear/Yellow. Thanks Jon (JiB). Here are some pics of said bling, bling bits. Am now awaiting one of these from NZKW http://www.nzkw.com/steering/IMG_4152.jpg, rebleed the brakes, rewire the gauges and can get a wheel alignment, get safety gear and fit harnesses, licence etc and we will be ready to race. Have a casual track day at Manfield on the 14th so will be the first test of how it goes, then will be able to have above said safety gear fitted, new camshaft and lifters all ready and legit for the July 15th Intermarques Also Dad told me to stop "fiddling/modifying it" so no more tweaking till I see how it goes hahaha. My bank account will thank me for it

Finally made up my mind, m325i. Sensible option, more than likely better resale value, more parts, more advice, more knowledge etc etc To me it sounds like a pretty simple choice.

Built for the series. Low as reserve could be a bargain. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/S...n-220054376.htm
