I say ignition switch because I had the exact same issues as you, one day it would start the next it wouldn't, and it would die while I drove it too. When you turn the ignition on it turns on the relay to the fuel pump etc will be why it doesn't hum. I'm no mechanic but you asked for help, my 2c. E: I had a wire short out on the dash causing a under dash fire, this in turn melted wires together on the ignition switch which is why it started playing up and once replaced it was fine. My thread here may help: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....2&hl=nathan Also look at the PDF in this and go from there, it's the best place to start, hence why it's a sticky: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=27120 Hope that helps.

Back to my original post about the RE11's, does anyone know of any other alternatives I could look into, going for a more road focused tyre as opposed to a 888. (Johno I did pm you but no reply...) Thanks in advance.

Dumb question for those who have it already... Is it worth buying a wheel (cost justification and extra enjoyment) as compared to just the controller? If a wheel is the go, which is the one to get? Cheers

Also Japan is probably the biggest market for the game, hence why there are far more japanese cars etc I'll still be buying it regardless of the reviews.

Totally agree Carl, I am cyclist too and just last week riding out to Whitby and back I nearly got knocked off three times, one which the driver swore out the window at me for no particular reason and told me to "get off the f**king road". I have been involved in two fairly serious cycling accidents because of some twat of a motorists ignorance and stupidity both of which could have put me far worse off in the equation. Basically I just treat every motorist as a moron and expect them to do the worst, every idiot on the road seems to be in a hurry these days as you say and this of course flows on to dumb maneuvers on the road which put peoples lives at risk, it is sad society as come to this. Sorry to hear about your cousin.

Whats the rules with driving a WOFless car?
Forrest replied to Gotheschu's topic in General Discussion
Why not ask on here for someone to give you a hand towing it home for a box of beers? This is why the forum is helpful (sometimes ) -

Anyone get away with no pedal rubbers for WOFs? Want to use skateboard grip tape if so, I remember someone had issues come WOF time.

Just need to unplug it at the roof, pull (read: break) the plastic clips that hold it the wiring to the roof and down the A pillar behind the covers, then feed it under the dash. Easy peasy. To get the panel to fit properly I filed down the stereo slot as it is slightly too narrow to fit, then just silconed the sh*t out of it behind it. Hope that helps.

Getting serious now. Big thanks to Dave (Silverfox) for the pre cutting the door cards. Also made this last week.

I should add at this point won't be available to ship for a few weeks until I get a WOF then I can take them out for shipping, just to add into consideration.

^ I 'think' Convertible rear seats are different, I can find out for you or anyone can add their valuable knowledge that'd be appreciated. I could possibly get it shipped up to Auckland for a small petrol fee.
