HB man, have a sweet day, get the E30 going
-
Anyone know if a E30 boss kit fits a E21? Are the splines the same size? Cheers
-
Looks good Andy, red the tails, clears front and side, lose the roof racks and put some better looking tips on and your on to a winner IMO

^ Agree with Glenn, if your driveshaft is out of balance, the guibo or diff end nuts are loose or you havn't got the center mount bolted up nice and tight and square it will destroy them pretty fast. Ask me how I know.

^ Oh man they are gonna look sweet. Veedub have you ever looked into alternatives to buying actual BBS bolts? I don't really want to use mine AGAIN or pay 4 million dollars for a new set, but I have seen in a Total BMW mag a guy using stainless button head bolts for a small fraction of the price of BBS ones. Went to one fasteners shop today and no luck, apparently M7 x 33 is a wonky size....no sh*t lol.

Sway bar mounts and links checked? Check the nut on the top of the shock too, had mine come loose and had a knocking sound.

My question was aimed at big cans of it being made up...if I end up caging the E30 eventually I was wondering whether I could paint the floor of the car, body color by brushing it on, save me having to mask everything etc with overspray.

^ I have plenty of other wheels I can drive the car on...that ain't the issue, and between me, Kerry and Anthony we just about own every single wheel made in E30 fitment Don't worry its going to get plenty of use, in the last 3 weeks It has travelled further than I have in the previous year and a half in total.....now thats depressing I want to daily it now, after driving to Taupo and back in a rattly tin can makes me want to de-racify it slightly and drive it everyday, miles well get some of my money back huh! Lol at avocado

Had a similar thing happen to me when I got a wheel alignment, guy decided I had worn rack ends so replaced them all then gave me a wheel alignment, kind of hard to not pay for it once its bolted to the car, ended up being 3x the price Should have mentioned it was for an E30 so I could have easily replaced them myself then go back.

^^ Yeah Si I regret doing black too. Yeah Kerry a lot of different views on powder coating vs painting wheels. Last I got quoted painting BBS wheels was horrendous due to all the intricate angles. In before I told you so.

To sort of update this, I'm not happy with how the paint turned out on these, shouldn't have cut corners and spent the money the first time...I am a perfectionist after all. Ripping them apart again in a couple weeks, will do new bolts then get the centers acid dipped and powdercoated. More to come.

Anyone heard of these before? Being a big Lotus 7 fan and my Dad having built a Fraser 7 it was right up my alley. Saw an article about it in the latest BMWCAR magazine yesterday (one with the 8 series convertible on the front). Uses E36 or E46 as a donor with anything from a 318i motor to a M3 motor attached. http://www.gkdsportscars.com/index.html http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=21165 Badass.

Sorted thanks to Ryan

As above or any BMW dealer ones for normal number plates. Name your price. Cheers, Nathan

Sold pending payment

As above, in 75D urethane. Ideally for RACE use only, are far to harsh for daily driving, unless your very keen. Near new, come with new bolts, washers and nylock nuts. Go straight on to a E30 gearbox cross member, no need to drill out etc. Here they are on the website: http://www.akgmotorsport.com/catalog/view....es/MTS325lg.jpg And a picture of them on my car: I am after $70 SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Thanks, Nathan

I was being serious... You saw how well it goes

Swap one green beast for another? Nice car mate GL with the sale
-
Sorry I should have been clearer, I mean't 'brush on' paint like a 500ml can...
-
To hijack this thread instead of starting my own, does anyone know if paint shops that provide colorcode touch up paint in spray cans etc, are they able to provide it in tins as well that could be used to brush on? Anyone know?
