  1. Ask Gavin about the spark plugs, Bosch somethings $6.50 each
  2. You can borrow my car for a day and copy the headlight wiring. And I have a brass sleeve you can purchase.
  3. Already asked on there. I want one before xmas though, surely someone has one
  4. How much are these? Wanting to retrofit one into a E30 M325i and want it as close to OEM+ as possible...have seen tape player versions trademe but not interested in a tape adaptor, would like the one that is just CD player. Besides adapting a E36 radio loom to work with a E30 harness, will anything need to be done? The M325i has factory tweeter pods etc if that makes any difference to wiring. Cheers, Nathan
  5. On a slightly related note, this is ultra cool too http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-425323213.htm
  6. As above, in as mint condition as possible, ideally in black or dark grey. PM or post here. Cheers, Nathan

    FS: E30 Parts

^ Gonna keep the radiator for a rainy day I think cheers Stephen, not worth giving away. Battery to boot conv sold. Anyone want a rear swaybar? it is the smaller size, with links and OEM rubber bushes. Have another without links or bushes too. $20 for the lot Also have both gearknobs since people never got back to me. Have a e36 one and a e30 one. Both fit a E30 and E36 fine, the shifters are the same. Both look identical to this: http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?q=e30+rubbe...1t:429,r:2,s:19 E36 one is heavier/weighted. $15 ea

    e30 injectors

I'd love to know a comparison between a dyno + remap vs Miller MAF + WAR chip with a 2.8 map put on it. Prices are similar...with the addition of getting rid of the barn door AFM I am leaning to the latter

    e30 injectors

From e30wiki Like the 2.7, a 2.8 will need a good custom made ECU chip tailor made with the aid of a clever bloke with a dyno and an emulator. Standard 325i injectors are just about good enough. If you find they aren’t quite flowing enough, think about using the next injector up, the 0280 150 714 from the E34 530i and 535i. In most cases, the 325i injector does the job though. We gonna use m30 ones on our build, so I guess you use those if you wanna keep up with the red beast

One gearknob sold. Seats sold pending payment. Nobody wants a tidy PFL 325i radiator? Otherwise I'll probably scrap it
  13. US never got the M40, maybe try finding something in the UK for the specific motor bits. Pelican is good for anything else.

Have a bunch of surplus parts for sale, buyer to pick up or arrange shipping for large items, otherwise I can post the smaller stuff at your cost. All this stuff is ONO just want it gone. Prefacelift 325i M20 block, with crank, pistons, rods all attached, no sump or oil pump attached. Was using a fair amount of oil before removal so I could assume it needs new rings atleast before reuse, good for parts. $50 Prefacelift 325i Motronic 1.1 loom, complete, with ECU, injector loom, gearbox sensors etc etc $10 Prefacelift M20 large SA radiator with metal end tanks. From memory was replaced by the previous owner of my car, so one would assume 4-5 years old, no leaks, has a few tiny scuffs, but works 100%, will throw in a good condition pre facelift expansion tank and sensor $80 SA 325i metal airbox with filter, and prefacelift airflow meter $40 OEM replacement M20 rubber engine mounts, near new $15 1 x OEM E30 rubber gearknobs, mint condition $15 Let us know if anything else needs pics, it is all relatively explanatory. Plenty more parts will be added over the next few weeks. Can possibly arrange shipping via Hans for the Auckland members. PM or post here if you are interested. Cheers, Nathan
  17. The black touring looks like it has widened VW g60 corrado steelies, far more of them in europe than over here sadly. Another option is new mini steelies which are 15 inch and 4 x 100, unsure on the offset, probably have to add spacers to clear calipers on the inside then just get them widened.
  18. Just putting out a feeler. I am after some relatively period correct looking wheels for an E30 in 15 or 16 inch, ideally 7-8 inch wide and no stupid 0 offset please. A rough set 15' weaves would be perfect etc. Don't want to have to piss around with spacers so will need to check caliper clearance measurements first. Don't mind if they aren't perfect with curbing etc, I can handle doing a bit of painting etc just need them so I can put some decent tyres on. I don't have $1000's to spend, they are just for my daily so cheap is good. Cheers, Nathan
  19. Have sourced all of the above, I need a coupe drivers side door seal in good condition
  20. Also need a PFL front metal valance in good nick ideally inbetween Wellington to Palmerston North please
  21. Anyone know if replacing gearbox oil would cause it to whine/should it quieten down? Brought from a manual conversion, so hasn't been used previously by me and came with no oil when purchased. Ta The oil used was 75W-80, is this too thin?
  22. As above, for the front guard and coupe door on the drivers side please. Cheers, Nathan
  23. 320,000k old, using about 3-4 litres of oil every 1500-2000km
  24. ^ Sorry I couldn't tell you for sure, but under the glovebox is also the ABS computer (that looks like another ECU) if the car has ABS? Sport auto's have a separate computer in the boot lining on the LHS Managed to get this running with the new engine this morning. Not a bad effort I thought after starting on Thursday afternoon with two cars with engines and gearboxes attached, taking both out and putting one of them in my car. Car runs nice and smooth, massive thanks to Surge for his help with the diagrams, was a piece of cake. Cheers for all the help.
