sheesh mate youre a bit early!!!!Looks like where on for a good turnout,had about 10 cars last time ranging from a a 1970 something 3.0 a few e30's Hugh tunleys immaculate 635,my 535 and a coupla e 46's

thats what BMW call the chassis no.I think its very logical.Its easy when the manufacturer sticks to the same system.I am not quite sure why there have been such big jumps lately.....ie e 39 5 goes to e65, 7 series goes from e 38 to e60

i have a set too but it isa US based one and some of the electrical info aint the best(well maybe not complete) for our euro based cars.The web based etk will give you all the parts info

I am looking too and the fuji s5500 seems good value.10 x optical zoom lens,a reasonable size for us males to grasp and is 4mp.Dick Smith has em for just under 600.The minolta dimage z3 has a 12 x digital zoom but is more $.With my old slr i nnever seemed to have the right size lens on hand. I dont know enough about digital cameras yet,but i want as much of a slr replica as poss....Macro is close up photography like taking a photo of a bee on a flower from only a few cms away.Any comments on the fuji or minolta welcomed.....

Im interested to hear about the emissions test though. Is there not one in NZ currently ?
there are no measured emmissions tests but the wof test is supposed to stop any one with a really smokey car or LOUD exhaust .......I guess most wof testers are deaf or like noisy cars....I have nothing against modified exhausts but some of those big bore jobs are LOUD.Dont get me wrong my 535 has a derestricted rear muffler,but there has to be a limit some cars are just too loud .

200 ml in 3000 ks seems alright to me too.To get the best life from my engine i have elected to run castrol 5w30 synthetic,because of its superior performance overall but mostly because of the 5w viscosity a start up...I offset its cost by running it for the full service light interval.I buy the oil off shelleys,cause by my sums its cheaper to buy 6l there than 6l of mobil one at repcos.I just take a couple of containers,and pick up a filter.I also get my massive bmw cub discount.!

car dealers have a book with model history and prices,not always comprehensive,my 535 in 1990 was 122,000,apparently.

a block of wood under the jack (and keep it in the car) and a wheel chock may have helped there...At least there should be bugger all ill effects
