  1. carl is right there is a reason besides looks while proper m cars and sports variants have those subtle aero aids....Glens biggest problem will be the fact that his intercooler has precluded any aprons, there will be too much air getting under the car,i hope he has bonnet clips next time he tries.....

  2. sheesh 80 litres is bad enough......i think i cracked 80 bucks a coupla times when petrolwas up at 1 20 something and most fuel pick ups are not right at the bottom of the tank, even when you run dry there will be a coupla litres sitting ina little hollow below the pick up,and you do get sh*t,and water sitting in that little well,It is good practice to keep the tank full ish you will less condesnsaton and therefore less rustI regularly go from full to light on fill light on etc etc

  3. i reckon for our beamers we would need at least 3 ks 1 k run up,flying kilometre and then 1 k to stop....do you reckoncain you would be accellerating in 6th,i get the feeling that with a 3.6 diff the 535 would need 5th,but withhe high diff in your car sixth is almost an overdrive?????Course the big wide grill on your car makes for more drag, not like the nice tidy grills onthe aearly e 34's.Keep in touch re the intermarque

  4. carl there aint a road long enough for your car to get to 307,air resistance would stop it at the same speed/revs as any other 320........now we need a long long road for my 535 to top out at 236 or so.........we should talk to steve and hugh to see if we can hold a sprint somewhere,we used to hold one over the wairarapa in the m,cycle club but we need a longer run for our cars to top out...hmmmmmm

Any one know someone at Ohakea air base?????

  5. the temp probe is near the "passengers " fog light in a big plug, sometimes because its relatively exposed that connectors getsa bit corroded and the resistance is enougn to upset the temp display. As far as not being able to program the display this maybe because of that temp probe problem,or are you getting any other error displays???,because that will prevent the obc display working properly,I think i have a link at home to show the fix for the fodlight/temp probe plug, watch this space tonite.....

  6. if the diff is lsd i beleive it has a s on the tag as well...i have never found the etk to be so specific......even if i load my vin it lets me select the self levelling edc suspension but i dont have it..it lets me select mtech suspension which i do have ,but it doesnt say what my diff ratio is,but it does let me select lsd....or should i say its lists parts....

or does this say that i have a 25 percentslip 3.64,why the choices?????

  7. washed car twice in 48 hours....once before gymkhana(explained to wife that you cant turn up to a car club(or bimmersport) event with a dirty car,and as the pics show the cars were pretty dirty afterwards and as an added extra splatterings of bovine exhaust solids all over the place.........

  8. its the small gearbox looking thing midway between the rear wheels. There will be a numbered tag which will say 3.64 or something.....that is the ratio of your diff

Glenn are you sure the 535 had the large case,i thought the m5 and 540 did but not the 535???

  9. i havent noticed too many e 34 diesels, there are three versions,i would think they would ALL be 2nd hand imports
