I never carry anything less than $1 or $2 coins
-
I bought a brand new oem one from the uk, Was $130 landed at my door, Was ok for holding cups but coin holder is a waste of time as our coins do not fit, I sold it separately through trade me when I sold the car.
-
I want to get mine done so might go in and have a look at all their sample's. From looking on their website the viva one looks like it may be ok. A case of going in and seeing i guess.

yeah those brake light switch's are a bitch to get out, When i replaced mine i just ended up cutting the tabs on either side and pulled it out, The switch was stuffed anyway so was no point spending hours trying to get it out. From memory when putting the other one in push the white outer slide all the way in when putting it in. It should push up and clips in, Don't be afraid to use some force when pushing it up in there.

Errrrr , not everything happens in Auckland ya know

Unless I am missing something somewhere, Where about's are you as your profile does not reflect anywhere.

Ummmmm yup ^^^^ what he said even though i don't understand any of it hahahaha, Surprised we are so up in the world in the terms of digital broadcast, makes us feel special. I could be completely wrong in regards to being able to receive digital signal on the new V5 of the dynavin (for us anyway, To me it would not be a deal breaker though.
-
Version 1-4 had the tuner built in, For the usa market the tuner was analog and everywhere else was digital. Now things have changed with V5, You get it as an extra and is a box that plugs into the back of the unit. The digital system you get for the V5 is compatible with the nz system. I got mine directly from the usa so mine is analog. To be honest i have not even hooked the tv up to an aerial as i dout i would be watching tv while driving. If on a long trip then the missus can just pop in a dvd in she wants to watch something. I use primo for my navigation and have chucked igo 8.3 , They are both made by the same company but i find primo is more streamlined and it looks prettier lol. I have a special skin which i use on mine that gives you extra function's up the wazoo and am running the august updated maps from igo. I also run the 3d terrain which shows hills ect and when in town show's 3d buildings which is pretty cool. All in all the dynavin is a fantastic system that looks about as oem as you are going to get from an aftermarket system, With the usb, ipod, navigation, bluetooth, dvd, radio, touch screen, all rolled into one and also being able to control everything via the steering wheel make's it a no brainer imo. I cannot comment on the V5 ones as i have not seen or had a play with one, I don't really care as i am more than happy with my V4 one.

Depends on what the leak is, If its one of the steering hose's then the price of a hose clamp. Monitor your oil levels on everything to be on the safe side. As the old saying goes an ounce of prevention save's you a sh*t load of money in the long run.
-
Thats true but most people that have got them say the looks in the photos are deceiving , The system's are bigger than the E46 because they have a bigger hole to go into. Everybody is saying they look and feel very oem once they are in. One problem is that they don't play at all with the dsp system so if you have that then you are naff out of luck.
-
Cool let us know what you think, They are the same internal's as the e46 and is running the sunplus chipset where as v1 - v4 run the zoran chipset. They also run the new menu system.
-
Best bet is get it up in the air get the splash guard off and have a look. I am betting a leak on one of your steering pump hoses.
-
$400 is about right for a regulator swap out as they are a bitch to change, I did mine myself when i had mine.
-
It appears that the units for the E39 are now shipping if anybody is interested.
-
Farkin hell I go out with the missus to do the weekly shoppin and the threads on the 3rd page and now I don't want to eat my tea , thanks
-
Not long for this world doing that, When statistic's catch up with him its gonna suck big time. His luck will run pretty quickly i would say.

Its all good. Its just interesting to her other people's view on it, As i said each to their own if its something you want then that's great. I was just saying for me I think the ones sitting on the ground be it BMW or not just seems silly but then that's just my opinion
-
Yup good to be in the suspension market at present lol. I do agree that some that have a subtle drop done front end makes for a better look. I guess i am more angling at when the whole lots dropped down that i think it just looks stupid.
-
More a light hearted thread as each to their own. True but there are pro's/con's for anything just interested to hear people opinions Whats the point of a driveway scrape though, Unless your driveway is particularly bad i just don't see the point or practicality of having your car low enough that it would do this, Does it not stiffen your ride up so much you feel every little bump in the road ??.
-
Maybe its because i am old but i just don't really understand why people want to lower their car's. IMO when the body is dragging on the ground and you can't go over the smallest of humps without scraping something or worse ripping something off. What's the attraction ??. Sorry maybe i am not getting the point. Please enlighten me.

Getting stereo out is easy as, Start by removing trim on passengers side by prying up the corner (next to passengers door)(using something plastic so you don't mark it) then move along prying out until you can just pull it out by hand, Its just pressed into plastic grommets. After you have the single strip of trim off the passengers side there is a small strip that runs around the radio, just pull it off by hand, then there is two philip's screws you will see holding the radio in just unscrew them and pull the radio out. First timer should take you no more than 10 mins to get it out.

Welcome. Guess it all depends on what you are going to use the car for, The 320 is down a bit on power compared to the the 325 which you should be able to pickup for the same price and same year as you are looking at. Even the 330's are coming down in price all the time and are a good option but hard to find in the spec's you are looking for. When i went looking for mine I could not find a 330 that was not silver or have the option's I wanted. I settled on a 325 which I am more than happy with and the only thing I did to it was retrofit the steering wheel control's for naff all which also gives you cruise control. Forget the AA appraisal, get a pre purchase inspection done by Jeff Gray here, May be a little more $$ to get it done but in the long run is worth it as they know what they are looking at and for.
