Glad you said style 3 before me Andy cos you can take the flack for that one haha.
Have always liked style 3s, remind me of the OZ Racing rims i had on a Cossie many moons ago.

Could be keen. Just have to work out a way of getting it down to the naki.

It's interesting to see the word "safety" thrown about, especially by that half-wit Murphy.
I'm going to pull out all my old WOF sheets and see how many 'noted' items are "safety" related, in fact i'll spend a couple of hours in the next day or twoo and go through the VIRM and see what percentage of it petains to "safety".

That article is so full of typical Beacham BS it makes me laugh.
The guy's a total tool.
The funniest bit is where he says MDL have an obligation to honour the warranty of a car HE brings in, pffft....cock.
-
Bugga, wrong offset and too far away. Otherwise woulda been all over these for my ute.
-
Sorry mate but that sounds like a lot of $ for not much car.
Makes the M325i i just sold the bargain of the year.

As long as you told her it was a "trial" then you have no obligation to pay her anything.......BUT, maybe pay her for a couple of hours work, just as a good will gesture.
I'm just thinking if you give her nothing and say tough......nothing spreads faster than bad word of mouth.

I wouldn't know what's it's worth, how much are you actually looking at getting for it?
I'm the same as you, not that much of an E30 fan but I too can't resist a good bargain.
In the light is there that much rust that you can see?
It's here Greg.

Agree 100%, well done that man.
Now I am having an internal battle with myself about whether or not to buy it off you John, thank god I am not in Palmy any more and I'm further away, otherwise I would have been round already!!
GLWS.. someone from BS please buy & restore this before I do.
Haha, i know exactly what ya saying mate.
I don't think i'll have a prob' selling it.
BUUUUUUTTTTTT, the more i look at it the better it's looking.

***SOLD***
Pending payment & pick up.
Car is in Inglewood, 'bout 30 k outa New Plymouth.
Ok so it's gotta go, i don't have the room (although the more research i do on it the damn thing is kinda growing on me and i don't want to get to the stage of thinking "bugger it, i'll keep it")
I know some know what i (approx') paid but we all know it was a steal but i'm selling it for what i think it's worth.
If ya wanna whinge 'bout the dif' of what i paid and what i want then ya should've been quicker
I haven't even looked underneath it, and to be honest i can't be bothered.
If there's no interest here then it may have to go on TM, then if nothing it WILL be parted. I KNOW i'd get 4 times what i paid for it in parts, may take awhile but i'll get there (i sold an E34 ECU to one of the Brents on the forum from a car i wrecked 3 years ago)
Yes it has rust, i haven't gone over it like i said but the roof has some near sunroof. I'd say those stupid drain tubes have been blocked for quite awhile.
It has an intermittant mis so sometimes (mainly at idle) runs on 5.
Has no WOF but reg' is on hold.
Ok, so i think $2200 is fair.
If you don't like my price then give me one. In all honesty i have no idea what it's worth.
This isn't a number plucked out of the air. I based this on the value of the parts and this one on TM that didn't sell BUT had a top bid of $2730.

i went up a few months back, a few mates of mine were going to i humoured them and went along. neutral drive drops in standard v8 falcons, fires, skidding WAY after the red light, you name it. never again lol
Yep. So you can imagine one of the f**ktards up here getting hold of it.
-
Gen Tech1s are getting very rare (world wide). Would be good to see you restore it you know youll fall in love with it If not sell it to someone whos gonna love it.
Yeah the plan is for someone who knows what it is to buy it.
I'll put my flame suit on and say........I've never liked E30s. Just a tad too small for me.
-
Is the rego still current or did it lapse?
I'll give you 50% more than you paid for it as is
It's on hold mate.
Tempting but not quite, problem is tho' you know kinda what i paid haha.
-
Don't mean to sabotage anything mate, just wondered if it was anything serious. Apologies for the misunderstanding.
Anyway, mint buy, keep us posted with the progress
No worries.
Pretty sure this whole time he has said "it would be a shame to part it out, I would rather on sell it"
Correct.
I got it to stop some pants dragging cap backwards retard getting their hands on and killing it.
Down here we have "skids" on at ferndene speedway at least twice a month (on tomorrow actually) and this would've ended up being "skid" fodder. Perfect candidate for the f**ktards down here.
-
hope that the rust is curable!
I like ya not very subtle sabotage.
Any other negatives you'd like to mention.........saves me doing it aye.
-
Please don't wreck it. Id saddens me the amount of decent E30's being pulled down and parted out.. is good for current owners though.
If it were a F/L I would make an offer.
GLWS!
Yeah Graham, i'm hoping it sells complete. Would be a shame.
Yes, I saw this too! I knew it'd be snapped up quickly.
Is it still running on 5 cylinders?
Haha, yeah mate i knew it wouldn't last on TM long that's why i was on his doorstep with the foldies in the dark.
The 5 cylinder thing is intermitant.
I live really rural so gave it a good "drive" on my road and it seems to clear. Doesn't get hot so i'm guessing injector or plug.
-
Always wanted a 325i Tech 1... wish i had some cash at the moment.
Nice score there, looks tatty but pretty straight from those pictures. As you say, all the important bits are there. Provided the bodywork isn't riddled with rust it should be very saveable, mechanicals are pretty straight forward.
Please let me know if you are at the stage of wrecking it.. would be shame for it to be broken into parts.
Yeah, haven't gone right over it yet. Being a UK import ( they seem to be rustier than most) i'm hoping body is ok.
Really don't want to part it as it's all there and should be a good starting point for a nice example.
Edit for spelling....damn you sausage fingers.
-
I was going to buy this but you beat me by about 30min!
Good score
PM me a price and I might take it off you. If you part it, first dibs
Haha, so you know what i paid then.....or didn't pay
