  1. Hi guys,

i havnt done any research yet...

jus wondering if anyone could give me a quick yes or no answer realy....

i have a e34 535i manual. and am planning to swap it the engine/gbox into the e30.

i have pritymuch done my 5stud conv/ read other thred.

just wondering if i can make my e30 open diff into an lsd using the e34lsd parts? or are the inturnals a different size?

    if not

is there anyone out there who may swap the e34lsd for an e30lsd?

    Thanks heaps.

  2. Hi, well at present. the front wheels cant steer as they sit back too far. so ive got to wait on the offset bushes.

so so-far just e36 rear end and e36 front struts brakes ect. the real reason i am 5studding the e30 is because i have a nice e34 535i manual i am going to pull the engine and gbox out of. so i think im going to need some good grip in the rear as the e34 has enough power as it is. and i think controll arms will be purchased at a later date when i get some more cash and a wheel alignment.

  3. Hi, have now e36ti 5stud my e30. the rear went in well. am waiting on offset bushes for the front. from BNT.. Aparently the next shipment is comming 1st march so i have to wait a few weeks before i can start rolling and mucking around with the front guards. I have ( persuaded? ) the rear guards to fit my 255/40/17" 5series wheels and i gues ill have to do some work to the front as they are 235's. All looks well in the rear. I have taken out the springs in the rear so i can get as much clearance and the right shape. i can lower it down so that the sill jacking point is 14.5cm off the ground. so its low but well above legal limmit.

I will post up some pics im the next few days...

oh yes and my mums standard e36 rims look the bizz with the big guards on the rear lol you will see.

  4. Hi guys.

    I have a 89 535i auto for sale.

Best to use as a parts car as its de regd and now has a f**kd engine.

Its light blue, straight bodg with good cloth interior.

will post pics in the next few days.

if anyone is interested pm me.

    Thanks.

  5. Hi,

The subframe is all bolted up now. have the 255/40/17s on the rear.

    everything went fairly smooth.

I used the handbrake cables from the e30 subframe. will load some pics up soon :P

need to sort something out with the wheel arches as the tyres stick out a bit lol

my dad and i have an idea that may work out well.

now i need to buy/order the offset bushes for the front in a week or two as funds are running a bit low.

will keep you guys posted on progress.

once again any advice would be great.

    THanks.

  6. Just a quick update.

After about an hour of trying to get the exhaust system out i decided to cut it in half. The reason i cut it was that it was an aftermarket straight through system and the person/people who have done it, didnt do it very well lol.anyway...

the rear subframe is now out!!!

Tomorrow i am going to sort out what i need to swap over from the e30 subframe to the e36 before i try fit it back up as a 5stud.

I have noticed that the handbrake cables are the same length. but the outer cover is a bit different on the e36.

So il have to swap them around...

any help or info would be good.

  7. Happy New Year Everyone.

its been a few weeks since ive posted on the site...

the progress of the e30 has slowd down a bit so that i can enjoy my holidays while they last. go back on the 12th so have a week left.

i have no pics yet but all of the bodywork is dent free ( i hope ) lol

except the roof and sunroof rust as its no that bad.

just have to sand down the new drivers door, then mask up the whole car so my dad can prime it all up.

the car is already a shitty no gloss back so the new matt black primer should give it as much class as a primer can lol

then its on to fitting up the complete rear subframe from a e36ti.

i trial fitted one of the 17" 255's on the rear and didnt even have a fingertips clearance between the rear wheel arch and tyre, so i folded up the arch lip to give me that extra gap.

I have herd that the e36ti is about 17mm wider than the e30?

But i dont know if thats overall length or each trailling arm.

Guess i will findout in a few days..

i will post some pics when the car has been primed.

also am going to buy some offset bushes for the front today or tomorrow so if all goes well the 5stud should be dont in a week or two.

any feedback would be good too.

    Thanks.

  8. they should be sweet. i had bolted one stud up and lowerd it down to see clearance and all looks to be good. might have to give the guards a bit of a bash but nothing me and my dad cant handle i hope...

does anyone know where to get offset bushes from? or is ebay the way to go?

  9. Hi guys i have got myself another e30.

was forsale on here and threds still up i think...

    its a 85 323i coupe.

    Looks good in pics :)

come a little closer and you can see lots of work to be done, i gues you could say there is NO panel without a dent even rear panel uner tail lights lol

im half way through panel work and have some usual rust in the sunroof to tackle. but will leave that for a while as there is no leaks or anything " so far "

ive picked up e36ti front struts and rear subframe. and currently drive a 89 535i manual rolling on 17"motorsport rims..

so after the panel work will be the 5stud conversion so i can put the 235s front and 255s on the rear for some good grip. then if all is going well will attempt the dreaded big six swap... Afew people have got them working so will be a challenge...

    All sugestions will be great...

  10. Hi, im new to this website.

Just asking if anyone knows where to get BMW Offset Lower Control Arm Bushings for an e30- e36

im thinking of changing from 4 to 5stud using e36ti front and rear suspension parts.

also going to do a m30 bigsix swap.

i have a 1983 e30 318i manual forsale in a few weeks. ( just repainting the front ) and need to purchase a manual 6cyl e30 coupe as a base car. so if anyone has one 4sale for a reasonable price i could be keen.

Also have a 89 e34 535i manual for the conversion.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks.
