hi guys just set up my new secondhand 323i engine into my e30.

engines on mounts with box connected, loom is all plugged up. pipe going from throttle body to afm has been ripped and has tears in it. got it started today and has a ruff idle. cold start valve/plug has a crack so its leaking gass a bit. when i give it some gass it wants to die.

soo would that be caused buy the faulty reading of the afm?

or something else?

engine has no funny noises or anything.

ps need to buy a new intake rubber pipe if anyone has one. and a coldstart valve/plug.

any ideas would be great.

hi guys does anyone have an intake boot for m20 323i engine. pre facelift ( if it matters ) goes from throttle body to afm. 90o bend with a pipe off the middle of the bend. if that all makes sence. must be good cond.

Hi guys, after being sick and tired of my guards ripping my tires apart for some good looks. im selling a pair of my spacers. will probly regret selling them as they make the front of my car look so much tougher but i cant afford to but new shock/springs to make a stiffer ride.

so does anyone want to take these off my hands? got them 3months ago.

thanks for all the info guys. ive now got 205s on the front insted of the 235s.

they tuck under the guard now ( when i hit a bump ), its just turning into driveways ect. i can do it on full lock no probs but half lock the wheel goes up too far and wants to eat the guard.

so if i get stiffer shocks not stiffer springs it will solve the prob? im going to roll the guards out abit anyway.

anymore ideas?

hi does anyone know where i can get some custom springs made for the e34?

its at the height i want but needs to be a bit stiffer. pulling into driveways ect scrapes on the gurds. so would getting custom springs made up ( with a stiffer spring rate ) solve this? or would shortning the shocks work? the springs are hard enough but would like it a bit stiffer.

any ides?

or take the 25mm hub adaptors off and loose the look? i think not lol

hay man hows everything going with the engine. ive got two manual 3.5s and have been thinking about turbo and supercharger options.

i would like to know how the engine handles the turbo. u wont be running any more than 7or8 psi i take it?

yea i know it looks good with the white and black theme ( i think every bmw does ) and if it needs paint why not go all out ( well not realy ) but make it look nice..

there are a few things that need painting and a few lil dents i will fix up ect...

its a zender bodykit, ive got 25mm hubadaptors front and rear now. looking prity sexual and im thinking red will just finish off the outside. engine wise its standard m30 3.5 manual. but have dreams for superchargers or turbos...

im an aprentis panelbeater and my dads a car painter so panel and paint are no probs.

about the rims. the are genuine with bmw stamps in the center.. i dont know about the covers for them tho? ask pjay if they can, hes seen them?

sooo ive decided to put myself to the test.

i have until the 20th of this month to get my e34 fully panel and painted so i can have a crack at the bimmersport callender it probly wont make it in time but i want to finish it off and its a good excuse.

at the mo my car looks like this.

for a little while ive been going through paint options and have come to the conclusion that its going to be a deep metalic red. hope it looks good. repaint the 17s too. what do you guys think of color coded red spokes? and a repainted lip ( its already been painted )

i broke mine then plastic welded it. then central locking playd up so the flap got locked then i ended up ripping it off to fill up
