It's a bit steep price wise for that condition (non leather). I sold mine late last year for $6300 which I thought was an awesome price when I was expecting $4500 max.

1995 Avus Blue 540iS ~ it's on sale again, FINALLY!
MrDevine replied to lord_jagganath's topic in TradeMe discussions
I miss my E34, this could be a good rebound option. If it's as mint, it's worth the money. Less hassle than an M5 and just as interesting. -
Expensive but Bangin' http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=675402621

My buyer fell in love with the car, had another couple of guys interested and he just wanted to have it. The gas cost $160 and I dropped in a $200 JVC headunit for him. Maybe E34's are on their way up? Much better looking rig than the E39 in my opinion. Mr D.

Was a sad day, couldn't see her drive away :-(

SOLD! $6300 including full tank of petrol. Has gone to a good home.

Some extra images for the E34 fans out there. I really don't have anywhere to store it, so will entertain offers.
-
Yeah hilarious question. I'll post some more images tonight. Ace. C

I've moved into the city so it's time to let the 540i go – my apartment carpark is too small. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=666423117&permanent=0 Car is all good, well maintained at BM Workshop in Grey Lynn, radiator and hoses been changed out along with cam cover and other parts. I've really loved this car, won't be my last BMW. I was thinking about an E36 328ci before I brought the Golf. I bought the 540i off a guy in Hastings who's Dad purchased it from Jeff Gray in 1995 and owned it all the way through. $4990, however I can do a deal for a bimmersport member for sure. PM me, or give us a call, number listed on the trademe listing. Mr D.

These E34's have to be lowered in my view. Apart from the M5 all other E34's look silly at the front. I have Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks and H&R springs in my 540l. Well worth the money. Looks great. You could probably get away with just springs, however I had a 535i where I only changed the springs and not the shocks and it rode terribly, best to do both at once. These cars look good with 17" wheels with a dish too. Good luck. MrD.

This is seriously cool. Wonder if it's been loved though?

Too cheap yo, withdraw and relist in a month or so. Take better pictures too. You should be able to get $6k for that.

Hey Gerry, link is broken, can you please post again. C

A few PM's about the BBS RS in the inbox. Check out these images. Curbing as you can see. Let us know. Best, C.

Still looking good – Could be looking for new wheels, PM if you're interested in the 17" BBS RS's. They're not mint, and have some curbing. Mr D.

Long shot, does anyone have a 'spare' set, or a good place to look? Ace, MrD

Dude, you really need to buy this! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=422206997 I don't rate the E34's in white, just me though. Good luck, MrD

Dig this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-408894185.htm Little expensive maybe? When you consider what the E34 540i from IAN IN DUNEDIN sold for. Still, looks pride and joy. Mr D.

How much do you reckon for another Contisport? Mr D.

Yay more maintenance for the forty! Previous owner (the son of the old man that owned it for 15 years) installed pads that were too small a couple years ago, so now have warped rotors and squeaky pads. All four points need to be replaced. With the kiwi dollar maybe best to buy online – any advice as to whether a brake kit from Pelican Parts would do the trick? Or are there any other online stores? http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/catalog/sh...d_pg1.htm#item0 Called Gavin, parts alone would top $1000… Mr D.

I've been watching this auction. I could see it with the BBS of my 40', be awesome. How much did MR CAPSLOCK pay of for it do you know? I asked my wife, she said no. I comfort myself that's it low k's but there's a bunch of stuff that'll need to be replaced on it soon (radiator, brakes, cam cover seals, tie rod ends, etc etc…) Mr D.

That looks better. Yeah alpine white not the best, but with black wheels would look cool. Would imagine parts to be a PITA for that era?
-
Although, those wheels are soooo 1990's. Is that 'cheap' for an M5? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-359943994.htm
