Cheers. I have owned a couple of BM's previous - e30 325i cab and e36 M3 and over that time developed a close relationship with JG BMW, so somewhat aware of the burn, and confident BMW will give me an accurate professional opionion on the car. This said thanks for yours and everyone elses feedback, I really appreciate your knowledge and experience as mine is fairly limited.

I have no idea. I have not seen the car in the flesh, although the side on image of the pass door does look slightly different. Apart from that is there anything in particular to look out for (common issues) in general with these models? Cheers.

Cheers. I did the same also. I looked around for about a year before buying this one. From memory my mate from HB used to own your car....black cloth with pass airbag? Nice car.

Nice one. Yeah, they do look that much better with the clear indicators. Still no need to rush things, she looks great as is.

Here are the details: 1994 M3 3.0 133kms Avus Blue Black Leather FSH Sunroof Alpine Alarm AutoSure Mechanical Warranty with 3 months remaining. For more info and pics here is the auction: 1994 M3 Would be great to see it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as I have, cheers. Mike
  17. That does make sense. Cheers for that. Also, I take it they are perfectly road legal in NZ?
  18. Can I ask where you got your european (German) plate? Car looks hot, good luck with the sale.
  19. I drive my M3 to work every day and love it! I bought it so I could drive it everyday. You can't say an M car cannot be a daily. Its all about personal preference. For me its all about how the car makes you feel when you are in in/driving it. This goes for all BMW's, M or not. With regard to "daily" qualities, I prefer harder suspension, and would rather drive an M3 to work than a Mazda 3, its my personal preference.
  20. I hear what you are saying. I have had some good and bad experiences with dealers. Not long after getting the M3 my DME got flooded. From memory I was left with a bill over $500. I have an AutoSure Warranty but it did not cover this. Basically, because BMW put the DME in an incredibly stupid place (under left side of windscreen) and used drainage pipes that were far to thin and prone to blocking, I was liable. Hence, I no longer use this dealer. How can they expect you to be loyal when they charge you a rediculous amount of money for simply removing the DME - letting it dry then putting it back in. With this said, it still amazes me how dealers like the one in question get pissed when you buy your next car from another BMW dealer. On the other side of the coin, I approached another BMW dealer who is very willing to accomodate, including a sat morning service if booked atleast 2 weeks in advance. They also offer free pick up and drop off (of your vehicle). From memory the last dealership that serviced my car could only offer a courtesy van every half hour....thats average! Back to the original topic. Thanks for all your advice on the rotors and pads etc...I am having a service soon, and plan to ask a lot more questions thanks to your knowledge input. Cheers.

    My M3

Yip, I think I may have seen you in Island Bay a couple of weeks back. I have an Avus blue M3.
  22. Thanks for all your help. With regard to time, I was told around 3-4 months ago that they were thin and to expect to see the brake pad light up in the dash pretty soon.....it has not appeared thus far. I have looked at getting dics/pads from the UK and other places, but ultimately I am keen to use OEM parts, thus I think I will get a dealer to do the lot when the time comes. It will undoubtedly cost more, but its what they do, and I know it will be done well.
  23. While we are on the topic, my "inspection" light comes on when the car is started then turns off a few seconds later. Is that normal, or is it time for a service? Cheers.
