Seems like they didn't exactly accomplish much.

Perhaps this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=236791194

I saw that add today on the train but didn't have time to read it properly so only just got it now.

Any idea how much "MY E30" may be worth? (also for sale as I'm selling my E30).
-
Thanks so much for that! Been looking for something similar but couldn't find it. Some of them are so funny.
-
Yeah I would love a 325 or 328 but would be happy with anything above a 320.
-
Who are you saying that too?
-
At least your avatar hasn't completely disappeared
-
Agreed Would still be nice to own though.
-
Lets consider it "downgrading" then I would really prefer a 325. If that one in the link I posted a few comments ago was a 325, I would buy it without thinking twice. The KM's seem quite high though. How much would an mtech body kit cost? Because I have seen a couple nice, cheaper ones but they don't have the kit. I have one.

Haha will do I am very interested in this one... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=229960258. I asked him to post up a few more pics of it. What does anyone think about it? Reasonable price for what it is?

Ill keep that in mind. Just really after a change. Seeing my e30 is the ONLY car I have owned and one of the only ones I have driven. Will be very sad to see it go though
-
Any particular reason why? Never really looked into e36's untill lately and realised I rather like them now but dont really know much about them.

Hey everyone, As the title says I'm thinking about buying an e36. I want a change from my e30 which I'm currently trying to sell. I just wanted to know if there were any common problems that a lot of e36's have? Anything I should look out for before I buy one? How different would to be driving compaired to my e30? Or is there just some general advice I should know before getting one. I'm thinking about something along the lines of BMW 318i 1994 or BMW 325 1995. I would want it to be 1994+ and would prefer a 320/325 over a 318. Definately has to have the m3 body kit as its one of the main things I like about them. Thanks for any help or advice, Kaz

Haha shhh I checked the fluid and it wasn't low. Could probably do with a little more though. Thanks so far for your help everyone.

Yeah sadly I don't have enough money to do that atm.

Hi everyone, I just went to take my car out for a drive and it wouldn't change out of 1st gear (its an automatic). Reverse worked fine and I tried changing the gears manually using 1,2, and 3 but that didn't do anything either. It has happened once or twice before but I just turned it off then back on again and it worked fine the other times, although that didn't do anything today. Its a 1989 e30i. Anyone know what this problem might be? And how to fix it? Or any more information I can add that might help? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

All the pipes were hot so thats a good thing. I will try bleed it again on the angle tomorrow. I'm guessing its just got a pretty bad airlock in it. How do these get in there btw?
-
Nice ass's in your sig I don't have a trademe account, I just use my brothers when needed
-
I have also bleed it out properly if that helps.

Thanks, got it Well I took it for a drive with the thermostat on and its doing something a bit odd. While just driving around, the temperature gauge is between half and 3/4. If I accelerate kinda hard it goes up to just over 3/4 and if im breaking, it goes back down to just above half way. While its stationairy after I took it for a drive, the temperature gauge went right up to just below the red which was when I turned it off. Something else that has happened is there is now water in the rubber pipes! There was never that before so I guess thats kinda an improvement. Any suggestions of what else I should do? or any comments? Thanks, Kaz

I took it down to get a test on the Head Gasket and it seems to be alright. I just have one real noob question. Since my brother took out the thermostat earlier, I drilled a small hole on the outside as said, but my problem is this: He had to go somewhere for the weekend so I'm left to put it in myself. I just want to know which way the thermostat goes in the housing? Thanks for your help! I'm really hoping this will sort out the problem.
-
I tested the Thermostat by putting it in boiling water to see it open up. I also left it out of the car and it still overheated with no thermostat so its definately not that. Ill try bleed it soon. Also I'm getting the head gasket tested tomorrow just incase there is a problem with it.

That game is awesome

I put the electric fan in cause it used to overheat in traffic up in Auckland. If I put the standard fan back in it would go back to doing that.
