the starter..what i meant is that it will not bolt straight in, as is there is a lot of people on the forum speaking from experience, and best for you to fit like for like,saves a headache when the 260 is attached, getting the sump off later maybe an issue, check the bell housing doesn't hide any bolts and the thought of running a gearbox on an angle, not designed for!! since the auto is stuffed, and you are commited to a trans either way, you have mentioned that the engineering side is no challenge,and you seem convinced on the 260 bang the box in, make up a mount , then measure the length of the drive shaft required

you will be lucky to get black, best you will get is dark grey, have a coupe here with dark grey

you won't get much for 1.5k, over 200hp you'll be up for a cert, as with m52 and m50 conversions, you'll need a cert too. there are also hidden costs i've got some ideas and options, that will be more suited for your budget, call me if you are interested cheers Jon

Hi Mike, yours appears to be a different fault, common of the 4hp22 one thing that can cause this is a good bootful on the accelerator whilst in neutral or park, repairable, but labour, parts etc and not as satisfying as a manual conversion hear from you soon

the main problems with these boxes is lack of service, in response to original post the best you can do for yourself is remove the pan, replace the filter and have a fluid flush done, it might only be a blocked filter, any other advice will be to complex cheers Jon
