Dam!! i mostly washed dishes and cleared glass... didn't think they had delivery boys, always thought they'd be lethal dudes with martial arts training, maybe a few tours of duty somewhere crazy like bosnia, afghanastan, iraq etc... not teenage guys still getting the occasional acne flare up! why not flag the u.e. course for the mo, work the whole year while living at home, save some cash for the clothes etc, get some life/work experience, and importantly some perspective on what you'd really want from studying... OR, sell the car & buy some clothes, move in with your b'friend and get him to look after/chauffeur you round while you study & work part-time. Also get him to pick up the bill for the dinning out nights, oh and maybe get him to research the course your doing and find out all relevant info and resources. If he loved you he would...

I was just up in akl over the w'end for a few gigs. On w'tangi day we had a show in Manukau and it just happened that my 1st cousin was working that day. First time we'd caught up in about 5 years and since he became a cop. He said he's never given out a ticket for speeding etc, even when he busted some woman doin 110k in a 60k zone. Told him about this thread, he was stoked.

+1, pre f/l design with everything on exterior exactly as is. Interior and running gear having the overhaul of modern improvements... 2c. p.s a bit more overall room inside wouldn't go astray either, hmm maybe they should resurrect the whole series (3,5,7 etc) of 80's designs...

Yep, i though it may have been a match until I remembered I've seen this e30 (well fairly sure its this one) around newtown and it's more a green colour. If you look closely at the pic you can see a greenish look to the paint. Looks very green in person... Pics I have posted aren't the best at representing my cars colour either but its closer to the blue in 'edit', 'reply', 'quote' areas at the corner of thread posts - depending on the angle your looking at the screen! ohh and metalic. I'll try posting another pic today. Cheers.

Cheers all. Just pulled up rear seat and no delivery documents... Exposed metal under seat lining stuff is the same colour as the rest of car, so its gotta be listed somewhere... Some great colours in the link rimmer posted. Will do a search later for the link you put in bravo. thanks again Rio

Not to hi-jack but did gas just go up again?!! I'm sure when I last filled 95 was around 1.60- something, just filled last night and it was 1.74(sorry -cant remember details, need coffee). Fuel has gone up by at least 30c since I got the car a month ago... Should have got that red 316/2 from Glenn!! lol. Guy working at servo thought gas would be around $2 by the end of the month....

hey nick, penry, thanks for the translation - Classic that translation is 'unavailable'. Lol. Colour is metalic. Ok according to the sheet that shellys printed off, the last 7 vin digits are; 0920386, this number is the same as numbers stamped into the body under front windscreen with the addition of TB -0, then the rest of serial= TB00920386. The vin/chassis numbers on plates rivited to engine bay come up with incorrect information i.e. 4 cylinder 316 or 2 door coupe or colour listed as a metalic grey of some sort (first shellys search) etc. The stamped serial is still not entirely correct (info about car) but is the closest. Thanks again for the help. p.s. will check under rear seat in the morning and let you know.

Haha, fair enough. Thing is, it only LOOKS like a cheap audio 1/4 jack plug. Inside is the chip that then allows the rest of the car to function... pretty apt as I'm a musician. As I mentioned the pics are a bit sh*t. Apologies. But would still be frustrating if this and the spare went missing...

Hey, have been trying to get the colour code for my car as I'd like to get a few things touched up etc. SA '87 325iA... Bought the car about a month ago, the sticker that did live on the suspension strut thing containing all the colour info etc had come off while previous owner had had it. Car dealership that originally imported car had no info, neither did the painter/panel beater that the previous owner had used for stone chips etc. Tried a automotive paint shop and 3 bmw books later - still no match. Went into shelly bmw today and after a few searches they finally found the car (although it's still not entirely accurate) but the colour is listed as: NICHT VORHANDEN (*) ??? no code though!!! Anyone else have this colour bmr? I spotted another exact colour/era e30 in welly about two weeks ago -( thought someone had stolen mine!!) Hoping they mite be a member here and can help me find the code! Here's what the colour looks like...(sorry for the tm pics. lol) Cheers, Rio

Hey all, hope this is correct forum for this. Have a SA 87 325iA with an apparent factory immobilizer. Have already had a bs member check it out and say it's def aftermarket. Anyways, anyone ever seen this sort before? Had tried to pm this to bravo but with no joy... Apologies pics are a bit blurred, will try again in better lighting and post again later.. I've tried removing device once car has started and everything seems normal, however I wasn't game enough to drive away like that. Only interior lights and electric windows work when device is not in... Also tried a google search that was pretty fruitless, the stickers on windows of front doors say Killjoy vehicle security but no combination of entries I tried bought up a killjoy website. Car apparently was imported form uk, but that didn't seem to help identify this immobilizer either. Anyone suggestions? cheers Rio

Russ777, be keen to know what you end up getting charged. I just had mine done about two weeks ago, flushing + coolant and that was $290 all up. Not a bmw mechanic but a performance car workshop. Interested to see if/what the difference may be. Also keen to learn how to do this job myself in future!!!

Gutting alright. The car looked mint and seller was great, still replacing bits before sale!! The article was a good read too haha . (notice it was sold for 6 hundred odd quid at the time of article?) Just out of interest, approx how much would it have cost you to ship? Whats up with christchurch??? Half the countries boy racer tickets!! That's commitment. Don't mean to generalize but that place is def odd. Played lots of gigs there and almost without fail there's someone fighting or looking for one, and that can be afternoon, evening or morning. Out of control. Might be urban legend but i've heard that when the dalai lama (sp?) was in nz and they flew into chch, he wouldn't step on to the runway (usually kiss' ground or something) and they boarded plane and flew off again. That's a severe disturbance in the force... Bad form on the ambush, maybe they will be tried for terrorism like the guys up in Tuhoe? Seems like it was deliberate, and premeditated attack on police. Wouldn't that be a terrorist act?
