No such thing as a E36 330i, the 3 litre E36's were M3's.You can get a E46 330i, but not for $26k I don't think. Even so, one is an M5, and the other is a plain old 3 series. I know which I'd rather have!! Cheers

with somewhat messy results.

Eine Geiles Video e39 M5 vs RS6 Avant vs CSL
Grant replied to Marcel 323Ti's topic in Videos & Sound
Marcel Were those roads Speed Limited at all, or were they Autobahns with no speed restrictions. Looks like fun. Cheers -
Really, they have often given me parts for nothing. Otherwise parts from them have been really cheap.Cheers
-
no they shouldn't, drivetrain loss accounts for a lot more power than that.At the BMW CC Dyno Day last year, the E30 325i's all ranged from 86 - 93kw's at the rear wheels. Cheers

My ignorance makes me far from 1337 then.
-
yeah, I just didn't want to seem ignorant, but WTF does it mean?Cheers

Where is first gear in your car?If it is down, kind of below reverse, then you have a dogleg box, it it in the normal place (between reverse and 3) then it is not dogleg. Easy aye!! Cheers

Advokit, Did that happen on the outskirts of Cambridge (on the road to Lake Karapiro)? That sounds very similar to the one I saw the aftermath of the accident I saw. Cheers

He will have to leave it sitting somewhere undriven for at least two years, as he won't be able to register it here.E30 M3's don't meet the frontal impact standards for importing a 2nd hand car. It will only be able to be registered here once it is 20 years old. Cheers

Sounds like a typical idiot driving too fast, and thinking that they are a better driver than they really are.A good reason why street racing is a dumb idea, and the reason why there are race tracks. Cheers
-
Your engine is significantly lighter though.Power to weight, Andrews will easily out perform your 318. For a 325i engined car (with a full tank of gas), Andrews is really really light.

It depends on if you have insured a car with them before, and your record. Have you insured a car with them before? But that is a really good price for a male under 25. Is that with a no claims bonus too? Cheers

Trees are significantly more solid than a car, so the Audi would easily be split in two by a tree, with the tree still standing.I have seen an accident similar in the flesh. Not pretty, the car was split completely in two. Cheers

Chromies... they arnt the typical shiny silver, they look alittle titanium coloured, as for "rice" lights wot the hell you goin on bout? Glenn is talking about the horrible Altezza lights at the back.
-
Wagon, Andrew has made the most sense, get everything checked out and up to scratch before you start buying extras. Cheers
-
The gearbox won't matter. I just rung and informed my insurance company, and they noted it on my file. They didn't care at all and didn't ask any questions.Cheers
-
Carl is right, it isn't a biggie at all. I have enough faith in myself to think that I can carry out the inspection my self. I wouldn't get too concerned about it. Cheers

If its any consolation, my insurance doubled when I moved from Cambridge to Auckland last year. This is even though in Auckland my car is in a locked garage, in a secure complex (i.e. to get to the car you wolud need to get into the secure complex, and break into the garage). In Cambridge, I very rarely even bothered to lock my car, and had it parked in an unlocked garage. But I'm not complaining, my insurance is still pretty cheap, and I have a 65% no claims bonus so this makes it even cheaper. Cheers

Also, having it based annually would make so sense. Some people drive 5,000km's a year, others drive 100,000km's a year - therefore having is based on km's driven (like general servicing) makes more sense. The only time mine has been out of sequence is when I have not reset my service lights myself properly (which I have only ever done once). Cheers
-
How does your car know that a year has passed? There is no clock in the Service Inspection Light mechanism? I have had my car for more than 5 years (as well as a 1990 E30 320i for two years), they both worked as I described earlier, without exception. Maybe you have a different SI board. Cheers
-
No its not, it is a based on the service lights and follows this sequence:Service lights out first time = normal service Service lights out second time = normal service + inspection 1 Service lights out third time = normal service Service lights out fourth time = normal service + inspection 2 Then it all starts over again. Cheers
